Do the cars builded for this contest need to be street legal, or can I build something like a dragracer?

You know what a trackday is, right? A trackday is an open day for race tracks and you can drive around in your own car. In Brittain these races are so popular that car makers make cars for it. Like the Caterham Superlight R500, KTM X-Bow and Morgan Three-wheeler. Like open cars which are light, agile and fast!

Whoa, lots of questions! Replying to all: @TheLegoNoitAll: any car which is good for track days! @Alex: 8 studs and up, 4-wides can enter but won't win. @Harry: as long as it is good for the track you make a chance, you are a good car builder! :)

How are you judging it, exactly?
| September 23, 2012, 11:01 am
And will this contest have proper restrictions? As in will the entries be limited to real Track day cars (Atoms, Caterhams, X-Bows) or any sporty ish car?

Just look at the entries, and then decide the best. I chosen this method because I am the only judge and then I don't have to decide the scores with others, make averages, and if I am finished with judging, the judging is finished :)

Good! I may or may not enter depending on how much time I have. Hopefully I'll be able to throw something together at half term :)

Thanks for the invite. Looks like fun. Although I'm not sure I'll have time to participate. I guess it depends on the deadline. When are projects due? I didn't see a date anywhere. Also, I'm guessing this is for new builds? I don't think my 1/8th scale hot rod would make a good track race car anyway.

Sorry for late reply... It don't really have to, but think on light, agile and fast. If it don't suits in One of those categories, then you can't add it.

Yes Alex your Austin counts but as there are much bigger cars I think you don't make a really big chance, maybe for the best 4-wide?

For everyone: only fast is also good. It needs to be track-proof and fast cars are. Sorry for a slight confusion, good luck building!

Oh I see something: TheLegoNoitAll's McLaren is in LDD. Only if you PROMISE it will be before the deadline in real bricks, it can stay and I will rate it. If the deadline's over and still the LDD model is in, it will not count. Sorry, but that's the rules.
