Well, a City set would probably have a better price to piece ratio and a Star Wars set would ( in my opinion) have better figures. Go with watever you want though.

I totally agree. In fact, the ONLY set that looks good is the new UCS X-Wing, and even that looks mediocre. I'm only interested in getting it to be parts fodder for my own UCS X-wing that I'm working on. I mean, they're using maroon rather than red. MAROON! And they've included all these weird patches of colour that aren't on the original. It's barley even a good set. But, it does have some sweet bricks and printed stuff.

I'm not really interested in Star wars... My favorite themes are technic, creator, and some castle or similar themes (especially Kingdoms, though I never got any, and sometimes LOTR)...

Technic is very meh this year, there's only like 4 good sets... Creator is good though, but I prefer technic... I'm disappointed by the upcoming castle theme, as it seems to be too basic...

The F1's okay, not the best in some ways though...I have 42004 and it's very nice, 42008 and 42006 also look great. But years like 2009-2011 were definately better (8069, 8043, 8258, 8110, 8066...)

Well see, These things are also printed on both sides of the head with all the mouth details and everything? They have printed torsos front and back and then that slap a breastplate over the whole thing and add a cape so then you see almost nothing that is printed all over. It makes no sense to waste so much money on all this. When I was growing up, Sabulba was all Dark Gra with no printing. Watto was all Medium Blue with no printing. Ewoks were Tan or Brown with no printing. Gamorrean Guards were sand green with no printing. What's the deal with all this front and back printing and new molds with overprinting? If something was printed with a front and back or arms or some other thing, it meant the minifigure was special or rare. These guys are still special, but it's not the same kind. All these new molds are at least being put to use in bulk, but I can't get behind the action of adding 30 new pieces just for one new theme. Some of them look cool, but the rest are really not needed.

I prefer Star wars lego sets and what to get started on making a clone army and a custom clone army. Oh, out of all of my legos, there is only one set that I have is still intact and that is the TIE/D Defender. One of my favorite Imperial Fighters out of all of the fighters they have.

From my perspective, it's basically Thundercats without mass genocide from Mumm-Ra and without Mumm-Ra. Think about it. The Lions are trying to keep the Chi from the Reptiles becasue they want to abuse its power and their allies are all doing the same. All we're missing are "HOOOOO!!!!!" and one old mummy with the power of the Ancient Spirits of Evil. Okay, well all we're missing is "HOOOOO!!!!!" That mummy dude is that fourarmed guy from Ninjago which I still don't really support. Ninja warriors do not need high tech equipment to defeat their opponents. They were stealthy and these fighter jets and monster trucks are making that pretty difficult to convince me that these are real ninja warriors.

Clones and Stormtroopers? Makes sense. One time only minifigs like from Palpatines Arrest, go ahead. One set that is $15 and it comes with two figures completely decked out and overly specific, yeah, I can't do anything with those.

Well, I've seen a pretty neat ThunderTank MOC here (Search "Thundercats"). When I first saw the theme I thought, Hmm, Lego, you are going to get sued. It's a shame that Lego is focusing so much on kiddy themes like Ninjago and Chima, and Hero Factory. I recently got Jango Fett's Slave 1 off Bricklink, and it came with a 2002 Lego product magazine. I looked through, and I thought, wow, with all their new pieces, Lego can't make sets like this. You look at the old Alpha Team theme. They were some good, solid sets. The story was a bid kid focused, but the sets were good. It didn't try to be some kind of game. Anyway, I've rambled.

I think it's the fact there there are not so many smooth curves and there are a lot more visible studs. It screams Lego. The new sets are credibly Lego, but everything has a tile or cheese slope on it now. :/

Yeah, that happens. The TIE Defender was 2009. It has the spinning function, right? See, when you have a set from 1999, the dust really likes to settle in. I really need to get to cleaning dust pieces one of these summers when I have the time to do so. Give them a nice water soaking and let them dry for a day and put the set back together.

I think it's the fact there there are not so many smooth curves and there are a lot more visible studs. It screams Lego. The new sets are credibly Lego, but everything has a tile or cheese slope on it now. :/

And what the heck is it with stickers. Tons and tons of stickers.

I never thought of doing that. :)

I've never done it, but it sounds like not that bad of an idea. Of course, common sense should tell anyone to not put anything cloth or anypiece with foam, stickers, or any of those pressure pump type things in water for a multitude of reasons. I'd just take a tissue and wipe them down.

Well, you have to be patient with those, most of my stickers look really good. 75012 BARC Speeder with Sidecar was a pain, but the end result looked just like the actual thing from The Clone Wars. I was very pleased.

I like having the studs face all over on my MOCS. I usually cover them with tiles, but a few studs on an otherwise smooth model are like greebling without the greebles.

I always think it looks weird when people use sloped pieces and then they insist on putting tiles over the studs which creats this very odd rectangular bit creating a break in the smoothness. Sure studs aren't smooth either, but thy take up less space than a tile.

Okay, I never understand why people say celebrate for a day of remembrance. We may say Happy Memorial Day, but it really is a day where we are supposed to remember all who gave their lives for the US to remain a country and keep its inhabitants safe. There is nothing to truly celebrate about someone's death, even if it gained freedom for others.

I don't think anyone knows. Perhaps CN wasted so much money on CN Real a few years back that they are still in debt from that blunder and therefore could not buy more episodes of a super awesome anime styled revision of a nastolgic cartoon.

You know what, I missed Tonami on Cartoon Network. Every Friday night me and my brothers would stay up and watch anime shows like One piece, Zach Bell, Naruto, and Bleach I think or was bleach on Adult swim?? Any way, I wish it would just come back and it would be nice to see some new shows as well on it. Does any one know where I could find some anime show in English, if so please list them.

Cool! Hopefully the uploader will be working by then! I've been working really hard lately on a Lord of the Rings series of MOCs. It's been pretty hard though. I think that one of them is my best build to date.

Dude, that movie is PG-13, you're fine.

My parents were pretty relaxed about movies with me. When I told my dad I had never seen a certain movie he'd be like, "Well let's watch it!" All the Alien movies, the Terminator movies, Predator, The Shawshank Redemption, The Shining, The Matrix trilogy, First Blood and the rest of the Rambo movies, the Die Hard movies, and such were things he let me watch between 13 and 17 before I was "allowed" to watch them, at least with a general audience. I'm pretty sure you're fine to watch Iron Man 2.

I don't think it's so much that they wouldn't let ME watch it, but my entire family was going to watch it and we saw the first five minutes of it and had to turn it off. My siblings are all younger than ten.

Bricklink is a lot like e-bay. If the group mods want, they can start a bricklink thread and I can fill it in with all the stuff I have learned about bricklink over the past several years.

These days, I don't even care what Lego sets I get because all I care about now is the pieces (and sometimes the figs). Also, I wish they would build a flippin' Lego store where I live. They haven't even built one in my state.

I generally keep my technic sets together since I only have a few, technic MOCs take too long to make right now, and I'm too lazy to take them apart. And because they're do good.
I keep my castle/Indiana Jones/World Racers/some other sets in their original boxes because I don't have enough room for their pieces in my current sorting system.
I also keep my creator/designer/x-pods in their original boxes because I enjoy making alternate models from them...

I also steal pieces from those sets (mainly the Indiana Jones sets) a lot. I don't trust my memory when it comes to things like "Did I take 6 1x2 dark tan tiles or 7?" and "which set do those 2x2 tiles come from?" so I just leave myself notes telling where I took pieces from.

I rebuild my sets from time to time. I will find a set and take it apart and just put it back together again for fun. This also helps me remember what some sets have and others do not. I will also flip the set upside-down or change something on it to also help me remember. I've had cases though where I will have to take a few sets and rebuild them because it was a few months since I had initially removed pieces.

When it comes to Legos, I'm not that good at remembering where the pieces come from after I take apart my MOC. So into the bin of loose pieces I throw them.

Actually, "Lego" is also not even correct. It has to be "LEGO Bricks/Pieces/Elements/..."

Well, as much as that is also true for me, I try to spend Saturdays and Sundays getting LOTS of stuff done because the rest of the week is filled with school.

This week, however, is a 3-day weekend!!! Since I am homeschooled my mom always lets me and my brother have a day off school on our birthdays. And since my birthday is tomorrow, Sunday, I get a day off on Monday because Sunday would have already been a day off in the first place.

So why does Brick boy not like you? The only person I don't like Is Deus. :P jk

Yeah, well Deus hates everyone, that different. Brick Boy doesn't like me because he thinks that with all the stuff I watch on TV and in movies is not very Christian-like of me. I told him that I could do whatever I want and that the real world is not so censored, even the Bible is pretty graphic, so we then didn't like one another for a disagreement, and then he started showing more signs of the age he really was and he kept bugging me. He's given up now. Oh well.

I know exactly how you feel. Personally, I'm really upset with i Brick. And they just invited me back after banning me! Forget that!

Please don't use the word "they" in this context. I was not there during Isaac's predicament. Please excuse his anger and act of banishment toward you for my sake.

I wouldn't have let it happen if I were there. It was I who invited you back....

Ahh, how does my age affect this? Also, it's not just because of that spat!
It's because, I was humble enough to admit I was WRONG! I said I was sorry, more than once, but you still had to enforce your opinion over mine. I believe this is the reason we don't get along. Call me crazy, but I think to (truly) resolve this....we'd have to meet in person.
Talk for some 2 hours, and then go off with the conclusion that we don't hate each other, but will never be friends. There's something good that's come out of this also, I now type much better comments;D Anyways, for reason of why I think we don't get along: 1. that first spat we had 2. never resolving that first spat 3. when I apologized, you probably should have acknowledged my apology. 4. some people just don't get along 5. I (personally) believe that you thick, because I'm younger (actually, considerable younger) that you think you can boss me around.
6. We've had at least 5 comment wars! 7. I because we both took the same fork in the road.

Well I'm not doing that whole playground thing where the kids are forced to face one another and give that "genuine" apology. I don't hate you. I don't hate anybody because it's not right to, even people everyone hates like historical figures that have been deemed villains. I try not to reply because I don't want to say anything out of complete anger and not think about what I'm saying. I can't think of anything that sounds right anymore, so I'm not saying a thing more about this.

I think no. There are many MOCs out there that "deserve" more likes than they've got, and only a handful MOCs that don't "deserve" the likes they have. Your build is one of those that definitely "deserves" the ratings it has :D

This convo has gotten pretty out of hand. I am very disappointed.

Brick Boy and MCLegoboy: You guys have really taken it to the next level. No one cares if you two are friends or enemies (I still haven't figured out which one you two are). Try to get along you guys. If you INSIST on being enemies, do not say ONE word about it. Keep in mind that whatever you put on the Internet, the whole world can see it. So if you have something rude to say, DO NOT SAY IT AT ALL. Be mature, and have fun in this group! I hope you stay! :D

That's awesome! I didn't like PotC OST as much as the others. Dog days was a pretty funny movie though!

Yeah I agree with you. No POTC movie will ever beat the first one. But I would say that OST is my second favorite in the series.
And yes! My family always laughs SO hard at those movies and the books are hilarious too.

Uh... Give me a second to check it out.

It has piece counts for 268 of my 290 (269 diff.) sets and it says I have at least 79134 pieces, but I also have all of those ones that were donated. I included all the ones that I had instructions for if they were given in the donation, but all that Star Wars stuff except for a few sets here or there all all in tact.

I agree with that, Tristan... Sadly, the thing that kills many active MP groups is the arguing between members. Hopefully this won't happen again.
