My favorite movies are star wars episode 1-3, but I also like the Original trilogy (4-6) and I'm a fan of the new Batman movies too, especially The Dark Knight, with the Joker!

I acctually don't want Episode 7 to come out. There's such a well established post-saga cannon (like there was a well established cannon of events between Ep 1 and 2) and I have a feeling that, like the Clone Wars TV show, Episode 7 will ruin that cannon that hundreds of authors have worked to create.

I don't. And the Clone Wars tv-show is great (last 2 episodes have been one of the best episodes in the shows history), better than the prequels.

It can't be so bad, as Lucas had originally planned to make a 7 8 and 9 anyways. :)

Yeah, I know he always planned to make three trilogies. No, I think Ep 7 will be a good movie, but I'm just concerned about the writers and directors respecting the existing cannon, because no one did that when they made Clone Wars (I mean, look at the Mandalorians!)

I don't actually think TCW was actually made "for" kids. Because it's on Cartoon Network- that's the reason it seems "for kids." No, TCW is for Star Wars fans.

I just got Seasons 3 and 4 on DVD from Amazon. Can't wait for Season 5 on DVD... :D

I have slowly grown attached to the Clone Wars portrayal of the Mandalorians. It actually all fits with the books. No, seriously.

We are seeing the return of Mandalore to their warrior roots in TCW right now. I was at first outraged at the pacifist Mandalore, but now that the arc is coming to an end, it makes more sense. In the Republic Commando books, we see Keldabe and surrounding towns. Keldabe is most likely on the opposite side of the planet from Sundari, the New Mandalorian capitol city. Keldabe is still a bustling warrior culture, still ruled by a Mand'alor. So they didn't ruin Mandalorians in my opinion, they fleshed out a planet-wide conflict. The addition of the Death Watch opposition was a nice touch.

Well said. I'm 16 and really enjoy the show. the show never fails to deliver, well of course it has those childish Jar Jar and droid episodes, but the recent story ARC and the Umbara story ARC are just amazing. Too bad I've read those spoilers from this ARC so I know how this will end but it will be awesome to see it on screen.

Your theory makes sense. It could work. Mmmm. Your arguments are sound and they have been presented in a well reasoned and convincing manner. Well done. (Oh, the Death Watch was around before CW). I'm probably just a bit concerned about the post saga Mandalorians. They are nothing like the CW Mandos, but your theory could solve that problm...

Yeah, Lego should make a theme out of them like they did with The Lord of the Rings. It would be The Chronicles of Narnia

Yeah! A 100 dollar set could be the part of the big battle in the first movie that is in the rocks that would come with Peter, Susan, the White Witch with here polar bear sled, the Minotaur general, the half-man half-horse general, Aslan, some rock formations, and other random soldiers from both teams :)

I'm in a very similar situation. I loved Star Wars, and can still quote a line from every scene in Ep IV. I've read a large number of the books, and was particularly interested in Mandalorians. Then Clone Wars came out. So I moved on from Star Wars, but I still read some of the old books and watch the original trilogy from time to time. My second biggest MOC is a UCS X-wing though, so I'm not totally lost.

I saw Iron Man 3 yesterday(like I already told in the chat). Fantastic movie. If you have seen the trailers you think that the movie has a dark tone, not true. Well it has a little darker tone than the first 2 Iron Mans, but it has also a lot more comedy. (mainly because Robert Downey J.R. is incredible as always) And the script, wow. If you have seen Iron Man 2 yo know it was a lot worse than the 1st. Well 3rd one took it back to the level of the 1st one. The special effects are amazing just like in the Avengers. Btw. Ben Kingsleys Mandarin isn't really who you think he is and you will realise why they casted Guy Pearce for the movie in the end of it. Unlikely in the 1st 2 films there isn't any pointless main characters and especially Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow) had a lot bigger role in this one, so did Rhodey. (Don cheadle)
Usually when there comes a 3rd installment to very popular franchise it's a flop or not as good as the original and the 1st one, but this one is clearly the best one from the three. If you live in a country where it came out April 24th I highly recommend to go see it. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Spider-Man was a great movie. I didn't think it went very well with the actual story of Spider-Man but I don't mind because I'm not much of super heroes fan anyway. The actor who played him was much better than the guy who played Peter in the old trilogy. Finally Spider-Man is cool!

It's a good movie if you haven't read the book, but it could have been so much better.

The book is really short and the fact that Peter Jackson is going to make a trilogy from it (each film 3 hours) is great. That means they have to make some chances and add some new stuff, but I do agree with you in some points.

Shorter perhaps, but there's plenty in it. What gets me is that the scenes in the book are better than those of the movie, more realistic and suspenseful. Take the scene when the dwarfs are in the trees for example- In the book the goblins build great fires around the bottom of the trees and the flames begin to climb into the branches. Now that's dramatic!

I really want to see Monsters University. The original was actually the first movie we ever got on DVD, back in ancient times when people used a device known as: VHS.....DUH DAH!!

Summer....In Honduras, there is no summer. There is only wet and cold, or dry and cold (I'm in the mountains, about 6,000 feet above sea-level so it is pretty cold here).

I really want to see Monsters University. The original was actually the first movie we ever got on DVD, back in ancient times when people used a device known as: VHS.....DUH DAH!!

Wow, that's interesting! VHS's were still around when I was younger :)

PG. 1986. Its pretty family friendly. Some of the puppets might creep out young kids. The only violence is slapstick.

I saw MU a few months ago, and it was really good! I haven't seen Turbo yet, but it looks good. Have you guys seen the Forward Unto Dawn movie? It was a five-part Halo mini-series online, but they put it into a movie. Anyway, it was really good, except for some vulgarity. But if you're a Halo fan, it's a must watch!

I'd recommend Turbo :)

I'm not a Halo fan, so I probably won't watch it. Plus I only watch up to PG 13 rated movies.

Oh, I suggest that you watch both of them! But you could start with Monsters University - because that one leads right up to Monsters Inc! :D

Of course I love LotR, but Pacific Rim was really cool. I love the Marvel movies and some DC movies. Then there are just those movies in between that really stand out.

The Rocketeer is about a stunt pilot in 1930s Hollywood who finds a stolen jetpack made by Howard Hughes. Before long, he's being pursued by the FBI, mobsters, and a mysterious movie star who may have ties to the Nazis. The movie's from 1991, so no CG, but the story and the cinematography are really good. It does a great job recreating the culture and society of the time.
