waaayyyyy better than its replacment, top agents, in my opinion

True dat. I loved how all the vehicles changed into something else. I was only interested in LEGO at the time of the final Alpha Team sets in the Ice but they were great.

Did anyone play the Alpha Team video game? I had it for the PC, but I'm not sure if it was a console game as well...

No, unfortunately I wasn't interested in LEGOs at the time. But from pictures I saw, it looked like it was cool! Can you still play it? Or was it more of an online thing?

It was a PC Campaign only game, so if youcan find a copy, you can still play it.

Okay, since it was an old game, I'm hoping it'll actually work on my slowish computer.

Yeah, I was only seriously into Lego when they released (as I always refered to it) Ice Alpha Team. However, I can always remember getting the original Ogel's Base set for christmas one year. It was a good set.

When you have to pay S/H on an item with Amazon go with the lesser known sellers. They're typically small business-type sellers. They're much friendlier and more responsive to complaints/questions. The big sellers usually don't care about dissatisfaction when they have one or two people complaining out of 100,000 people rating their experiences 4 or 5 stars. This is my experience.

I recently bought some minifigures from "The Brick People" on Amazon for about $15. Got Sensei Keiken and two Onaconda Farrs. I was really happy with the speed and service. I just recently placed another order for some Microfigs from them. I will continue doing business from this smaller company because they catered to my needs.

That was long. :P

I had 4795-1 Ogel's Underwater Base from the first generation sets along with 4794-1 Alpha Team Command Sub. Some great pieces in those sets, along with the first projectile weapon I got in a set. Wayyyy better than the catapults and flick fires nowadays.

Definately. Those spring loaded cannons were awesome! I still have some, though finding amo for them is hard.

You said it! I have a couple of the old version of those shooters from the second version of Boba's Slave I. That was a great set!

Mmmm. One of the original Alpha Team sets had two, mounted side by side, with four studs in between. You could fire them at two hinged pillars on Ogel's first base, and the upper levels would collapse. You can't do that with flick missiles! They just fall out!

Yeah they are pretty crummy. Not a very useful piece.

Yeah. They have no use other then to pretend to be firing missiles.

You could use them if you were making a mini city or something and needed a tower for the top of a building. Other than that they are just pointless.

Yeah, probably because there was no story and nothing new. We've seen planes, trucks, and bad guys, but there wasn't a story to go with it (if there was, it wasn't presented well).

Ogel's original base (can't remember the name), The Blue Eagle, Dash's helicopter (can't remember that name either), the Ice Shark, oh, and the Mobile HQ from the the Ice Theme (I acctually have every set released from the last run of Alpha Team (Mission Deep Freeze)).
