Haha, I meant a few builds for LOM and TI. MA categories are unlikely to fit with LOM or TI (but if a category were to fit, it would probably best fit with TI).

Most of the time, since I have waaaaay to many ideas in my head, I take one of those and modify it to fit the category in question.

With the MA, the categories are VERY specific though. Like candy bars, Saint Patrick's day, 1:1 gadgets/weapons, 2 colors, things like that.

Our teacher said they cut into spring break first, then summer. I wish they'd take off summer first because I value those little breaks in between (not this close together though) and we never do much over summer.

Yup! I sometimes get the urge to pack it all up,, sell it on eBay and buy a ferrari. But bricks always seem better than cars.

Lel, I get to go twice (maybe three times) a year and every time it eats my wallet. XD

Yes, more people need to wake up to the biggest hoax in modern history. They need warming to advance the global warming movement, except there's no warming. I don't believe we've ever had this many snow days.

How old is that? How can you afford to leave a creation up and keep building? I can do about two small builds - 16x16 maximum - at a time, but I get antsy when I can't use my best pieces.

I honestly don't know how I did it, it was a secret WIP for about 4 months. For a while I wanted to build nothing but StarWars clone/droid bases, start a Youtube channel, and get tons of subscribers, which would also earn me money through Youtube partnership. Now, I hope to one day become a respected castle builder.

My rule is to always have a good chunk of money hanging around. I go on Lego buying droughts for a while, keep a few hundred saved up, so if I suddenly get the whim for a large moc, I can afford it. I wouldn't spend all your money.

Hm, I could maybe make 2 32x32s at the same time, but I couldn't really make either of them high quality....

I'm starting to wish I had more cheese/brick bricks/tiles like you; most of my parts are from sets, plus whatever they have at the PaB wall (so no Bricklink) so my supplies of tiles aren't especially high, I only have like 45ish masonry bricks, and while I have 200 olive green cheese slopes and 500 in trans-clear, I don't have neary as many in other colors...

I don't have a hundred of any kind of cheese, but the valuable parts are generally 1x2 tiles and 1x1 round plates in a few colors - those are excellent for greebling. I find that cheese are difficult to use and sometimes not worth it... as with my fifty sand green ones. 2x2 tiles are also great in large quantities, because they're easy to use over and over again in all sorts of situations.

I kind of amass one or two hundred dollars in an annual Lego fund and spend it in November and November. Aside from a few CMFs, those brick orders are all that keep me going.

Yeah, I have some 1x2 tiles (60+ in dark bley, 20-30 in light bley), but I want more for some techniques (in the 100s).

Still, I'd like some variety in colors, maybe 10-20 of each for rugs and such. Plus lots of dark bley ones, even if I already have 40-50.

And I have like no 2x2 tiles :/ I have lots of 1x1s though, about 40-50 dark and maybe 60-70 light bley

I'm short on 1x1 tiles. I don't have enough to make them the primary component of a feature, so I use what I have to add greebles and fill spaces where the bigger tiles can't. I'd also say that dark tan 1x2 tiles are great - if you look at my builds for Caleb's Minifigure Contest, you'll see how far in love I am with them. Normal tan and dark red are also good colors in high quantities if you want to do bricks or sandstone - sometimes grey is too cold or normal.

Hey, you have that set? I thought that was the coolest around (aside from Vladek's Dark Fortress) when it came out, but I ended up with the later Piraka Stronghold. I have yet to find a decent use for the giant "mask" that came with it, though.

There's not much call for red brick in the LOM since, technically, it's too advanced to exist. Maybe I can use some in a build set on Earth for the Insurgency.

Ha ha - no bus for me. If I did have to ride the local school bus for some reason, though, that would be an hour's drive over icy dirt roads in a poorly-insulated metal box.

Hey Gilbert!

Uh... maybe next year. I think I'll take it easy and mess around, unless someone beseeches me to join a team with lots of sincere-looking text. I don't feel up for a lot of random building right now - I'd rather focus on stories and illustrations for the various RPGs on MOCpages: LOM, TI and the upcoming Multiverse Chronicles.

I think it might have to be done by each faction, after all. Either that, or everyone keeps track of their own scores.

That could work, but some faction leaders like OoL have gone rather inactive.

Either that, or everyone keeps track of their own scores.

With some of our players being of the younger crowd, they could easily mess up. There's also those kind of people than might occasionally give them selves the extra 10/15+ points.

Same here - I really need to work on my Tourney entries longer. So far 3/4 of my Tourney builds have been built in mainly 1-2 days, and the other one I didn't spend enough time on either, relative to its size and complexity.

Me too! I bought the Second Harry Potter game, (got it in the mail on monday. >:D ) and it's turned out to be pretty fun so far. :)

Also we're getting to the point in Play Practice where we aren't looking at our books as much. It's going all right so far, but we've yet to get through the play in a single day.

I don't separate those. I don't have enough containers or drawer space to have that many categories.

I don't separate those. I don't have enough containers or drawer space to have that many categories.

I have eleven containers that have smaller spaced inside, with horizontal, set walls and vertical, moveable walls. One of the containers is extra big (two normal containers high), and one is flat (half the height of a normal container). Four of the average containers have no walls, for large amounts of pieces.
Then, I have a wooden crate for big pieces and a wooden crate for bionicle, one smaller crate for spinners and speedorz (I could put those with the big pieces, come to think of it), one smaller crate for rounded pieces with significant space, like shovels, and one smaller crate for pieces that don't really fit anywhere else.
And then, of course, the sorting is changing constantly: I can hardly go a week without changing something to accommodate my pieces the way I like it. And every month I get a new box.
Wow. I think I'm really bored, writing a comment this long. Or maybe I am trying to get away from other things.

Also by 'school play' I meant the Play which is being held by a School in town. It is Robin Hood, in which I am playing Robin Hood.

It's weird during rehearsals because the only people there are the ones you know, (Mostly) but when you're on the stage, you don't care. And during performance the lights make the entire audience a silhouette of heads. XD

School does not leave much time for building, because I like to do other stuff besides building every night...though for contests I crank them builds out pretty fast.

We have two piles of dirt (One now...) and I made a foxhole in one. Then I decided to make another. And then I started making a hole in the first foxhole, (Witch is the one with the entrants) then John started digging towards me on the other side, so then there was a hole straight thru it. And then I started making a tunnel to the other side, but that was too hard, so Eve gave me the idea to dig a ditch all the way to the other foxhole. So that's what we did. And I did about half of the ditch and Eve did the other half. And then we added another room to it, and another. But I haven't taken pictures of it yet. So that's what it is! Cool huh?

Woah, I haven't been on for ages. How's everything going guys? This MocAthalon is being troublesome: I can't even find a team. :/ What's worse is that I jailbroke my iPod and then all my apps just disappeared, so I'm glad I made a back up, cause I'm restoring it. It's taken a couple days, because I have a 32 gig, and I had like 2 gigs left on it. And my music hasn't even gone back on. I also had this huge essay for school. It was horrible. But, in two weeks, it's my spring break, my sister's getting married in spring break, which means lots of company and family. It's gonna be so fun. And I have also found a great thing for my new songs on FL Studio. It looks like this week is starting to look up. At the end, of course. -_____-

Go to add creation, select picture. Add it on upload but dont save creation, copy the html of picture and add it to your page or if you want to do what i did is copy it to comment but get rid of every thing but the name of page so it can be a link

Hey, all!

I'm currently writing an essay on the culture of Lego builders, and I would like your input. I've put together a quick ten-question survey that should only take about five minutes.

Sadly we've discovered that there's a way to edit it without being an admin :/
I think that the person who discovered it emailed Mark about it(?) He didn't get any response though, so the glitch can still happen :/

Which reminds me, the other day in AP Environmental Science, my friend asked the teacher why he had a rope hanging from the ceiling. He said "in case times get too hard" I think she believed him. Turns out he uses it to demonstrate orbits to his other class.

I think MOCpages is having some problems (or else my account is acting goofy). Sometimes I like something, and I look back later and it says that I've rated it 1 out of 5. I change it back to 4 or 5, and then I check later and it says I rated it 1 out 5! And now, when I look at my most popular MOCs, they have 3 likes less, or something like that. Anyone having the same problems?

Yeah. Mocpages is having some issues right now. At least one of my creations that lost two likes is one that IMO is really overrated, meaning that a more deserving creation can be my second most popular.

Ye I have these issues sometimes, my comet tank had 30 likes but dropped to 28. One other problem, though, is comment editing. When you edit your comment, it automatically goes back to "not rated" and there's no like no more. You have to go back, edit your comment again and only then can you rate it. I've lost some likes that way, but I always make sure to double-edit my comments. It's kinda dumb and could be easily fixed in the site's coding.

I was wondering about lost likes. My MOCs don't seem to get many as is, so when I drop from 2 to 1 it's a pretty big loss (50% after all!). I thought people were just going back and changing their rating.
