Hey guys!

For most, summer is now in full swing! What are your plans?

Any large builds coming up? A trip to the LEGO store? Bricklink orders? Wishlists? Vacations? Activities?

I'll be working on a large collaboration with my brother this summer :)

Summer is usually when people say that they'll have tons of time for Mocpages because "schoolis outandIcanplaynowandbuildandpostandstuff".
And then there's like four people who are actually active, and they weren't even the ones who were inactive during School. Why is this?? :P

It's the sad truth that i-brick isn't what it used to be. The activity has declined, and if we gain new members....they just sit here and do nothing.

Well, I go away this summer, to a place with very few legos. After that, I go to boarding school and I probably wont come up with something decent for a long time. So I made my Bf-110 count!

As for projects, I hope to make a few spaceships, but first I want to make an F-14 and an F-82. Mixed in will be a minifig-scale Bf-109, a Stuka, and a Do-17.

Well, at least there isn't that video ad from a few years ago. They had 'a christmas message from a dog', which was a non-pausable non-mutable loud ad that played at least three times per page, all loading at different times. That made it sound like some sort of alien language, and had me quickly rushing for the mute key on the keyboard.

That depends. How well do you know them, how many of your cousins will be there, and how good a DJ will the reception have? Weddings can be fun, or they can be mind-numbingly dull.

Most of my orders turn out well. My only problems have been that sometimes a seller will forget a part on large orders or be out of a rare part before their inventory updates to show that they have none left. This is usually fixed with an e-mail to the seller. I usually only buy from a seller with a 4 digit or better rating and with 50K or more parts for sale.

Same here, my bricklink orders all turned out well. If you make sure to order from a decent seller, you should get what you ordered. But if you want cheap pieces in bulk, look around for independent lego shops - they sell pieces for cheap, and sometimes are even nice enough to contact you when they obtain pieces you might be interested in.

Like JWG said, buy from large, established sellers. I had one seller forget a few pieces from a 300 part order, no big deal, but he sent me a coupon anyway. The rest all went off without a hitch.

I have to go to a wedding Saturday, and I've never been to one. Anyone know if they're boring?

A bit late, but I'll answer it anyways.
It depends on the people, and if you know them or not. I've been to three weddings. (that I remember) One was somebody I didn't know and it was 2 and a half hours of boring coming togetherness, followed by a three hour long reception. But the food was really good. :P

The second was my Baby-sitter, (the only one I liked) and that was a bit better.
And the third one was a family friend that I had known since I was 7, and I got to help his nephew film it, so it wasn't as boring as the last two. But they had metal chairs. O_O
So basically, they're not really that boring, and if they are, then the food at the end is worth the hour(s) of waiting. ;)

Neat group, I just joined. I took a class last year, Multimedia and Webpage Design, but since the web part came at the end of this class, it was squeezed into the last week, thus I have learned more from a few minutes on Google than that class taught me on HTML. I have a digital media class this year, and websites is supposed to be part of it.

Yeah, these days Google is better...besides, programming is constantly growing, so textbooks/courses can't really keep up. Though introductory stuff on relevant languages is still necessary I think.
