Hi all! Welcome to the group! So, let's get down to business... how should this be set up? I think that maybe if we can get 32 members, (more than doable if everybody invites one or two people) then we can have some eliminatories until we hit 16 people, then we can do 1 on 1 until we have a winner. How does that sound?

Why did you invite me?

Because this is a contest, and I invited pretty much everyone I know. Please invite some of your friends!

Don't worry.
If you make me an administrator, I can invite a large number of people.

You pull pieces out of thin air and have an unlimited amount of them!

A. I am judging. B. There will be a sci-fi category in every round. This isn't called the contest for everybody for nothing you know!

Will you please, let me use some of my currently built creations, please!

I don't see why not!

When I see other peoples creations in other contests, I see me just losing automatically!

If you don't want to compete, you don't have to.

Well, I just do not like the rules in contests... They just seem to be against me, especially photos...

Do you dislike plain gray baseplates, because that is where most of my pictures are taken!

Photos will not be judged on, as far as I can see. They have to be reasonable (i.e., it isn't just a blur), but I won't dock you slight blurriness. We're not talking professional here, so be it I can see what's gong on, I will be pleased.

Do you mean as a background or as a base for the build? If it is a background, then no, I have no problem with that whatsoever. If it is as a base to the build, then I may not like that part, but I will probably set up some stuff for what I am looking for.

I only have about 10,000 bricks, half of which are technic and Bionicle.

I don't dislike them as a base, I just dislike them when they are uncovered. Also, if you use them as a backdrop (like in most of your models), I won't object to that, although I would just slightly prefer white posterboard

Really, I go to Pick a Brick and LEGO stores often and without it, a huge amount of my stuff could not be built...

I don't have a LEGO Store close to me, so I have to rely on massive online orders.

Tons of my old stuff is taken apart as well... Just not like as much as some people!

I think that waiting for 32 people is a little crazy. I think that 10-16 is more realistic.
