What is a Battle Pack? Personally I only own 2 Star Wars sets, http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=9525-1 and http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=9497-1

I saw Genosian Cannon in a nearby store, is that one a battle pack?

No, battle packs don't have Jedi, and they don't have that many pieces, they are around 80-120 pieces. A battle pack set is one that you can get a lot of and have an army. The details will come once the Rules tread has the rules.

Unfortunately, I don't really have many star wars minifigures. Is there anything else I'd be able to do?

By 'many' do you mean, nothing that would go with a battle pack? Sorry about the rules not being up yet.

I'm sorry for the rules but the MOCpages system said: 'Your comment will be added to the conversation shortly. (Please do not resubmit it.)' It will be there in a few days, I hope.

I'm having a similar problem. Can you put things that do not relate to Star Wars but still do with battles, like cannons or weapons?

Cannons are in star wars, you'd just have to make it look Star-wars ish. Weapons like what?

I don't know a lot about Star Wars, but I'll try to make one. Also, does the piece count include minifig parts?

Yes, you count them like this.
Head=1
torso (including the arms and hands)=1
Legs=1

Hope that helps!

Can it be a Jedi Battle Pack, or even anything in Star Wars, or does it have to be clone/droid/rebel/stormtrooper (Ones we've already seen before)

Preferably no jedi You should be able to "buy" a lot of the same set and build an army or armies. So having a jedi in a set wouldn't make much sense since it's a battle pack like they sell. You could add a jedi, you just wouldn't get as good a score.

Anything we've seen before (clone/droid/rebel/stormtrooper (Ones we've already seen before)) is good (obviously not the same exact set).

It can be anything in Star Wars as long as it fits the build your own army(ies). But you wouldn't want to add a battle pack musicians. or a battle pack with an important character like Commander Rex, Han Solo, Jar Jar, etc.

I'm sorry my entry doesn't meet the standards of a battle pack, but I am new to the theme. Is it possible that I attend other contests even if I don't do this one or this is an elimination contest?

We discussed it in the Admin group, and we decided to let you change your entry if you want.

This contest is only 1 round, after that there will be another contest for people to join, that contest will also be held in this group! :D

Okay I have two more questions, sorry for annoying you guys with them. First, the newest battle packs, last years and this years have had two separate factions in each, yet the old battle packs had one faction in each; and you would have to buy each of the two to create a battle scene. For this battle pack do we include one or two factions? Second, does it have to be a scene we've seen in comics/movie/t.v. show, or can it be made up?

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

-John

For the first question I think you can do it either way though I'd wait for another judge to confirm that.

For the second question I don't think it has to be from the movies/comics/show though again I'd wait for another judge to confirm this.

For the first question, yes! You can have two factions.

Second question, it can be made up! It just has to fit in the topic is Star Wars. I hope this helps since Timothy also answered! :)

Lol Sorry, I've got one last question (hope it's last) Can we put in figures that we have customized; i.e. Let's say for the argument's sake, if we have a clone trooper, can we paint him or like customize him and include him in the set. Or do they have to be pure? I hope I get the answer I want. (Thanks for taking the time to answer again)

You can use all minifigures you want which fit in the Star Wars universe. So the answer is: yes! You're allowed to customize yours.

So as keeping with tradition, TX has again given me a score 4-5 points below every other judge in this contest (he always does that?). Because of this there is now a tie between myself and Master Badger for first. As Isaac has not judged mine yet, I assume he will be the tie breaker?

Isaac is actually a regular judge, he just missed judging yours. I reminded him. :D Once he judges, I'll post the scores :D

I judged all entries quite low because I wanted to be sure that it's equally, so that's no problem. There's something weird to Isaac's judging. He says ./20 but it's actually ./22 so it's easier to get a 20.
