This thread is for Marlf! and Declan Muller.
Reminder, don't create new threads.

Don't volunteer to judge for this MOC-off until all details have been set and they have commented in the "Find Judges" thread.

Once you have ALL details set, we head over to the 'Find Judges' thread: http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=22056&topicid=89692#comment-1176690

The following comment has been edited to suit the needs of this group.

CONTESTANTS: Marlf VS Declan Muller
NO. OF ROUNDS: 3
TIME PERIODS OF ROUNDS: 2 weeks per round (back to back)
ROUND ONE: Old Meets New
ROUND TWO: Home On The Range
ROUND THREE: Where am I?
JUDGES: Evan The Beardless Dwarf, Brickcity101 11, TBC
RULES: MOCs are given results out of ten, no result may be below 5, MOCs may be in any colour, colours do not have to match, rainbow MOCs will not be marked down, no LDD.

Cool?

JUDGING GUIDELINES
Judges must vote on ONE creation. You're overall preference will be determined on sticking to the theme, playability, balance (the ability to stand up without falling over), creativity and technique. You will not vote for MOCs based on their colour. If one contestant decides to use LDD, their creation will not count...

Here's something to level the playingfield. MOCs are not judged on colours, only on how they're built. Sound cool?

Sure, but I think some points should go to how well you stay in the same-ish color scheme

But I go for parts, not colour. Either that or allow LDD...

I understand what you mean, I simply mean like not using green and blue for a brick wall.....Get what I mean?
What should be the time limit for each round? And just so you know I will be busy every morning for the next couple of months, and I am going to attempt (probably won't make R2) to enter the MEMA

Well (since I'll probably make a transformer), colour won't matter. Two weeks per round. Sound fair? That's what david is doing...

Probably anytime between now and 4 weeks from now :-D The first Round is "Old meets New" and the second Round is "Home on the Range" the third round you pick :D (Don't make it too hard)

I deleted your comment about this contest in the "Find Judges" thread because the links did not go to this thread. Add a new one to that thread having the correct information (categories and such). It's also confusing to have two MOC-offs in one comment.

Also, you don't set the points for judging. You can give guidelines of what you want it to be judged on, but there aren't any points. It's just voting.

We're ready to go. The two judges are in place. Shall we begin on the 14th?

Two. Hey, can you do me a favor? Your brother needs one more judge in the contest I'm versing him in. Could you please judge? I'll get david to judge here too. Oh, and NO FAVORITISM. Don't favor the other MOCs because he's your sibling...

Can you edit the judges please? And I would prefer the judges to vote not score....

No and No.

You have no control on the number of judges and the way the judging system works. For the last time, did you read the full rules?

READ THE FULL RULES
http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=22056&topicid=89617

3 Judges - no more, no less
Judging works on voting - each judge votes for a creation explaining why he voted for that creation. You may give guidelines on what is important, but in the end each judge will still give votes.

We have 3 judges, so that's no problem. Oh, and sorry. I must've read the rules incorrectly. I'll change the comment to 'guidlines' instead.

Don't use the word points, say this (as long as you both agree):
The build should be judged evenly on the following:
sticking to the theme in some way
playability
creativity
technique
balance (weather it can stand up without a stand or not)

That's what you should say, not the whole thing about points. It'll confuse the judges. Please edit your comment with those things.

I have started building (and I've finished), but I won't post it until july at all. I've already taken it apart after making the photos, so no more work on it. I'll wait until july week one, and for your bro I'll do the same (or until he gets better, if he's still not well by then).

Best of luck to you!

Hey.....David says that he is not ready yet, he is working in a couple of other projects. And as for me...well I think I may back out - I am MUCH more busy than I anticipated so you can go ahead and post it. Sorry about that :-/
