I had an idea that might spark some creativity. We could make the Humongous group's theme: books. We could make creations of book scenes and covers. If you are up for this, please post below and I will make the official changes to the group. Permalink

Are we still actively trying to pull members back into this group or has that kinda stopped? If we are trying to keep people active here's some friendly remarks on the subject (BTW< this book idea is a great idea, I'm up for it :D).
People who are no longer active in THG have probably
a.) Moved on and don't care about THG anymore
b.) Forgot about the group and are willing to come back if someone reminds them
c.) Forgot about the group but wouldn't come back anyway.
There are a couple solutions to this problem.
1.) Kick everybody who doesn't meet a quota, like not commenting before Jan. 2014 or something.
2.) Comment on the creations of everybody who hasn't met a quota (again, like commenting in the group before Jan. 2014) with a friendly reminder about the group. If they fail to respond to this comment as well, just kick them; either they aren't active or they legitimately don't care about the group.
3.) Ignore people who aren't active. Groups can't be permanently active; even more game-oriented groups like LOM slow down eventually (LOM doesn't seem nearly as busy as it used to be). A solution which conforms to this natural defect of groups would be to keep inviting new members and simply act as if inactive people didn't exist. Of course, we would end up with an immense pool of members, most of whom would technically not really be members since they would be inactive, but it would probably maintain a decent amount of activity.
More input...I feel like this group is definitely running out of steam. These are just some ideas that I have seen work before in other groups. Permalink
