Okay, this'll be the only time I'll ever do this. So.. The first person who makes their Character intro will be granted Moderatorship! However, if your Intro doesn't follow the rules, you will not be chosen. *Read the rules for this in the Intro topic.*
(And please. No conversations here. They will be deleted. Ask your questions in the Questions & Answers topic.) Permalink
Okay. You are now in charge of the scores (Everyone's scores.) I have updated the Main page. Go look. Feel free to create your own topic for keeping track of the scores. Just post the scores in the topic. And then lock it. And when people's scores advance, unlock the topic, and edit you first comment. Then lock it back again. Permalink
I respectfully decline your generous appointment. I have not posted a single MOC to this group, and until I do so, accepting any rank in this group would be silly.
But... I will stay in the group, and I will continue to assist you with any ideas I might have as well as by calling out any really really nasty behavior I see amongst other group members.
I'm no police officer... Just think of me as a concerned citizen who is ready and willing to assist you and Mr. Freeling in this endeavor.
I accept your decline to this over. Although, I will still consider you a very good source of ideas..but really, you should add your intro!
Also, I appointed you because...I think you are one of the smartest people in the group. No offense to everyone else;)
I soppose Luke the Swift will take charge of this duty, as he as offered to.

Attention, people of LOM! The judges have made their decision, and it is my sincere pleasure to announce that the two winners of the Truce and Justice Challenge are...
*Drum roll, please*
The Object of Legend and David the Fire Ninja Jedi!
Be sure to congratulate both of them on their excellent building. Our group is blessed to have such truly talented brick-workers.
Mythronians, Rainosians, Nerogueians, and persons of questionable employment, I have some changes to announce:
First of all, the admins have decided that no one will have the ability to switch factions after earning one hundred character points or more. Players are still allowed to switch as they see fit until that time to find which faction suits them best, but this is discouraged for the sake of intra-factional unity. On the bright side, considering that even the busiest and longest-participating players are still far from reaching one hundred points, this edict should not affect anyone for some time.
Secondly, ranks and permissions have been standardized across all factions. All ranking challenges are now set at intervals of twenty-five points and are directly tied to powers such as forming guilds (unlocked with the 25-point challenges) and attacking cities (unlocked with the 100-point challenges). Rainos and the Outlaws have already adopted the new system, and the other factions will soon follow.
That's all I have. Keep building! Permalink
More locations are going to appear on the map on September 1st! Each faction will have 4 main cities/fortresses. The cities and fortresses will eventually be able to be claimed once your faction leader opens them up for claiming. Permalink

And if you want to build a permanent defensive castle, get 150 points! Permalink

Should we make a challenge (not specific to any faction) that grants this? It would be like a Rank/Clan challenge except that it is for everyone (kind of like guilds are for anyone). We could add it to the homepage (then those titles would be more useful as well). Permalink
Results of the Persuasion RC are in! With fifteen entrants, this is the LOM challenge with the highest participation ever. If this trend continues and twenty people make it into the current UC (Mythron Attacks!), we will award points for both first and second place as well as base the events of the next challenge on the battle... But that's not what you wanted to hear. Without further ado, the winner is
DAVID THE FIRE NINJA JEDI with his awesome tree-and-rock diorama, persuading some outlaws to join the cult of Nerogue!
The scores, calculated roughly out of fifty, are as follow:
David the Fire Ninja Jedi- 45.5
Jacob Pennington- 38.5
George Marshall- 37.5
Gilbert Despathens- 37.5
The Object of Legend- 34
Thatch Gears- 33.801
Stephen Boe- 33
Andrew the Jedi Ninja- 32.5
Brick Boy- 32
That guy you saw earlier- 29
~ McLegofreak- 29
~ Rukar- 22
Great building everyone, and I hope to see your names in the lists of the UCMA! Be sure to congratulate FNJ, Jacob Pennington, and whoever ended up with third for the top builds. Permalink
Royalty means the High King and his immediate family. By other players' characters I mean characters introduced and/or operated by other players. For example, someone's main character's comrade or enemy is a secondary character belonging to the player who created it. This would include Cedric the Bull, because I introduced him, or one of the crown princes, because they are closely related to the High King. Permalink

Okay, but are we allowed to have them in our MOCs if we don't kill them? Permalink
I would add to what Gilbert said: Be careful of what you make the royalty say as it might not line up with Mythron's policies. Ask the faction leader (in this case, Brick Boy) if you think you might make the royalty say something that they might not say. Permalink
Important information regarding discussing/using/making up things about other factions in your MOCs:
If you want to put something about another faction's past in your MOC, go to that faction's leader. You could make up past events that other factions did, and then go to the faction leader and see if it would fit with something they would have done.
If you want to find out a standpoint of a faction on a certain subject or action point to use it or describe it in your MOC, then again, go to that faction's leader to see if it would fit.
If yes, then your MOC becomes something more real because it has accurate facts about a faction (which is also better for those looking at the MOC who do not know anything about the factions).
To talk to another faction's leader, just go to the necessary faction thread. If the faction leader does not get back to you within three days, then another member of that faction or two other faction leaders will answer the question for you. (note that a answer missed by the faction leader in consideration could be corrected in the future if the given answer was not correct. But the MOC made would still be considered valid, but then the information would then become outdated. Hopefully this will not happen.)
New facts/trivia gained from your builds will be added to the Creatures/History thread in the appropriate faction comment. Permalink
The UCMA results are in, and it was a CLOSE competition this time. However, it is my pleasure to announce that the winner (by less than two hundredths of a point) is Toa Infernum of Rainos, followed closely by David the Fire Ninja Jedi of Nerogue! You can see the winning MOCs here:
Be sure to congratulate the winners on their phenomenal work. Finally, the prizes have been increased this month: First place receives ten extra character points and second place receives five. Permalink
I would like to make a request of everyone in the Lands of Mythron, please. As many of you know, a recent new character introduced with his first three MOCs a Romanesque culture to the Lands of Mythron. Some people have been upset by this addition from a new player and several have expressed their feelings in comments both here in the main group and in the apparent refuge of the Rainos faction group. My news to you is: he gets it. The admins are working on a solution that will benefit everybody, and your criticism is not helping. Please drop the topic unless you have something helpful to suggest. Permalink
It has been revealed! The biggest castle-themed contest on MOCpages is starting! On the first of January the free-for-all category will start! Until then, dabble around with what character you will enter into The Tourney and build a small (or large) entry MOC to solidify you signing-up!
FREEDOM! That's right, the faction groups are shedding those admins and faction-leaders who don't have spy ranks, making their secrets more secure than ever. If you're an admin, that's why someone gave you the boot. If you're not, then plot to your heart's desire, because what's said in your faction... stays in your faction. This might be a good time to get that spy rank you never acquired, though - Rainos has feelers everywhere. Permalink
