Hmmm. Is this one of the lies? Or one of the truths?

Going by previous MOL Fun Facts, there's a sixty-percent chance that it's a lie... but there's also a forty-percent chance that it's true. Or maybe I'm telling the truth in an incredible manner to restore a fifty-fifty balance to the honesty of the MOLFFs. Or maybe I was feeling unimaginative and I didn't know what else to write. Who knows?

King Mythros I was not murdered - he founded Mythron about 800 years before the Battle of Unbinding. A later king, also Mythros, I believe, was killed by King Bartok six years ago at the Battle of Unbinding, marking the start of the new calendar which numbers the years since Mythron's fall from greatness. If it was 2014 AB, then he would have been killed 2014 years ago. However, LOM 0 AB works out to about 1370 CE in Earth time, so by 644 AB (644 years after King Mythros' death) the LOM would theoretically have cell phones, cars and all of that good stuff.

Basically it's probably a good idea to read my TT R2 entry and my latest FB to get up to date on Fargon, but here's the general run-down:

Fargon is the brother of Dzargon (Kai's Tourney character). He helped Halbert in the Orc arena, since he was one of the gamemasters, but after being discovered by another gamemaster, Larzok, he was imprisoned. He escaped the prison, killed Larzok, saved Halbert's life yet again, and enabled Halbert to leave before escaping himself through the underground tunnels beneath the Orc village. Meanwhile, Narzok, the brother of Larzok, is searching for him in a thirst for vengeance.

And another random statement I feel like making... I got Panda guy, Mirkwood elf army and getaway glider yesterday! A 50-dollar purchase...

Nice! I really hope I can get some Lego movie minifigures, but I doubt it since they aren't usually in stores around where I live and I only go to the Lego store twice a year (they ran out of them when I was there)

Correction: Target and a few other places might have them, but they generally sell out pretty quickly.
And I don't go to Target much anyway, mainly Walmart, which doesn't have them.

Oh, okay. Sometimes the pickings are pretty slim by the time I get there, but there are generally some in stock. I spend too much money on those things.

Yeah I've started to get that way too. I buy one every time I go to Target. The Target near me has tons of CMFs and Star Wars sets but everything else is pretty much non-existent.

I just took this guy apart: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/373931 This model holds my record for both longest standing Moc and longest standing model (the latter including all the Lego sets I buy and build, too), despite, or maybe because of, having under 200 parts. The pics I have of him on the post do the figure no justice... I just needed the track links, that's why.

They have them at Barnes and Nobles... they only had eight of the Movie ones left when I went there yesterday, but that meant I had time and patience to feel them all and find the one I wanted. They happened to have Panda Guy, and because there were only eight, I had no trouble finding him. Sometimes it is good that they are nearly out when you come.

I can tell he's going to say no, since he and Brick are dead-set against rivals on MOCpages. Most of the admins will likewise be against it, and, as I said, I'm not helping another group that borders on the LOM's genre here on MOCpages. Groups on other websites and in other genres are fine with me, but even I don't want to work against our monopoly on this one area.

The Lord of the Rings

Rise of the Mage

World of Legonia

The Elder Scrolls

Multiple novels

This very group and ideas of other people.

I shall go beta this weekend and shall inform you all when it's ready, the first to sign up shall be granted certain honors and responsibilities if desired.

This world shall be known as Concra-Tunisia. In a point midway between the Middle Ages and the industrial revolution.

I shall be handing out invitations for the setup group, join now and your ideas will be canonized.

Expect invites shortly and know that it will not work quite the same as LOM.

Ryan, I'll give you my two cents. LOM is unparalleled in size and seniority for medieval RPGs here. To succeed, you'll have to do something utterly different. In my opinion, the only time period you can go in without stepping on somebody's toes would be 1700-1900. All the other time periods have another group already filling the role, or are too underpopulated to attract interest. (prehistoric/Roman- low interest; medieval- LOM; Renaissance- ditto; modern- many warplaying groups exist for this; scifi- The Insurgency) A Revolutionary War/early Industrial Revolution group, in my opinion, has the best chance of succeeding, because it won't start off with competition hanging over it. I think I could help start this group, even if I don't have time to build consistently for it.

PS: There will be gunpowder, and a very large pirate country. Join up and you can develop it the way you like.

You don't have to build for it; it's mainly so fans of the series can connect and hang out (we also need some more active members). I understand though, if you still don't want to join :)

Someday, if the LOM dies or I have some reason to move on, I think I would like to found or join a storyline with few limitations and a few good builders - no points, no challenges, no staff group - just a handful of people building, telling stories and having fun. Concra-Tunisia sounds like it would be a good place to retire, since its setting matches what I liked to build before I joined the LOM. Hopefully I won't have any reason to join for a good few years yet, though.

You should join the Band of the Grey shield because it serves the LOM as a whole rather than petty rivalries between players AND offers all sorts of chances to work with others. Also, you MUST join because I invited you. Bwahahaha.

I must remind you that that advantage will only stay for another month or so tops. As the Guilds are out of the Tourney, one by one, they will adapt their descriptions and lore to fit environments other than the tourney, and your advantage will be gone. I myself plan on putting the Hand of Defiance through a revolution after the Tourney, and I am sure almost all the other guilds do so too...

I would help you, but here is the word that stops me: Time. I use Lego a lot, and much of it goes to LOM. It is impossible to use Lego too much, so I can't say that, but I could phrase it this way: Lego often keeps me from doing things for School until the last minute. I will probably get active in another group once I get over 100 in LOM, or once I am old enough for Guilds of Historica, maybe. But time is what keeps me to one group at the moment.

Also, this group of yours might get farther if you introduce it here again after the Tourney. That would give you more time to think about how to make it all even better before going public... and it would be better timed and seen by more people.

Have you checked out the BGS? It's mostly there as an asset to the archives - I don't know if all of the other guilds want to do that, but, anyway, you're invited too (at least for the remaining month of the Tourney).

I think you can join as many guilds as you want but only one that wasn't founded by a member of your faction. So you could join fifty Outlaw Guilds but only one Mythron guild. I think that's how it works but you'll have to ask an Admin to be sure

Weeeeelllll, the Greeks had a very-sophisticated clock-like computer back in the BCs that could calculate the movements of the sun, moon and earth almost exactly over the course of centuries - that wasn't spring-loaded or pendulumn-driven, but it's close. You are mostly right, though, because Mr. Falcon Punch's entry was well ahead of its time (ironic, considering that the topic is clocks) what with the LOM resembling the 1300s (not 1600s). That won't hurt him, though.

That's okay, the dates are really hard to line up anyway. We use a mix of armor from Roman times to the 1500s, we don't have gunpowder and we more or less throw anything classical, primitive or medieval we have in our Lego collections in and hope it works.

Well, me, Gilbert and Thomas have an idea to revolutionize LOM and other groups relayed to it. We think that of we coordinating the the factions with one from other groups and then, you can build in whatever theme you want, any day! Simply know your character from each group and voila! Instant transitions. So, we need the admins and even moderators input to go for this. The group is Multiverse Chronicles. If you would like to put this forward say so. If not, please tell us. Yes and no, points will be given per group per person, so LOM points can't be used in The insurgency points. The point is that you can have a varied option of themes to build in. Just use your character ( separate characters for different groups ) and build whenever you want. This means that each group you join, you get to make a new character, but you don't have to be in all of the groups if that's not your preference, only the ones you want.

That sentence means that you need to remember your character if you want to build in each group, don't take that apart unless you can remember it. I only did that cuz I have a bad memory so I would need to keep them built, not separate pieces. I hate my bad memory:)

The LOM and the Insurgency will remain independent due to the fact that they are already strong and established with their own and unbending story-lines (I have to say that before Brick stabs me, and I'm sorry if I didn't make it clear) but I believe that the Multiverse is a good idea for all other genres aside from 1300s/medieval fantasy and the Insurgency's type of sci-fi. So far, there's a modern warfare group, a Batman group and a steampunk-western group in the mix - all of which might never be huge on their own. I think it's a good idea, whether or not I'll have a lot of time to build outside of the LOM.

Trying to create a story for a free build atm.

What are the names of the rulers of the different fractions. (In game) Not just the kings, but also queens (if any) plus other high rulers

This Wiki entry has information on every faction ruler except the king of Mythron:
http://lands-of-mythron-royal-archives.wikia.com/wiki/Faction_Leaders

Mythron is currently ruled by King Rowan, son of King Mythros (slain in battle five years past by King Bartok of Rainos). No one has introduced a queen of Mythron, leading me to believe that the youthful king is a bachelor, but he has two younger brothers: Sadon and Borin.

Rainos was an official part of Mythron until five years ago, when the leader of a rebellion, Duke Bartok, killed King Mythros and formally broke the tie between the islands. Bartok, middle-aged, is now an unmarried king. He does, however, have a friend and advisor in the Archdruid of Hadran and some relatives around Rainos and Mythron. Bartok has little control over his faction, with comparable power to the Queen of England.

Enalica was briefly commanded by Simon of Ithanos, a ruler that some saw as a beacon of hope until he disappeared shortly after his arrival. He was replaced by a Rainosian ninja known as the Masked, who has deposed the various governors of Enalica's main islands and set up a new government. Of all the factions' rulers, it is clear that the Masked, although secretive, is by far the most popular with his citizens. The Masked has also been likened to Batman by observers from other factions, and has no known private life.

The Outlaws' central organization, something like a weak crime syndicate, is led by Sozo, a young grer (grey-skinned, strong humanoid) who has also been an Enalican sailor (before the coming of Simon or the Masked) and a Mythronian slave. Sozo's influence is unclear and his appearances are infrequent. He is not married, but he has a sister who is held in the power of a malevolent sorcerer.

Finally, Nerogue is ruled by the ancient-but-still-young-looking elf Darvainian. Darvainian has a brother, cousin or friend played by FNJ's brother, but no other family as far as he has revealed. He was once a spy and diplomat for King Mythros, but left Mythron in disgrace after Mythros was killed. He now commands Nerogue, and is strict but just as a ruler.

I am still really confused by this. You mean that all those groups would be merged into one big group, but you still have separate characters and such?

No, the groups would be independent but there would be a group to connect them and coordinate the story lines and such. Therefore, each group would be separate, but the one would be able to tie in the groups with challenges and stuff.

Very well, I think LOM and TI are out. That's okay, not what I expected but the smaller groups can join and become bigger. I suppose that LOM and TI are thinking for the safety of their groups, but why... We aren't trying to merge them, just make it for better advertising ( links to the groups in the groups ) and well, yea, making it more fun.

Yep, it works. Tedious to go through the long process just to see one comment, but it does work. So I see you're talking about city attacks? I personally am against having it during the Tourney, like Brick has likely already told you, since both of us have a chance of getting pretty far, far enough to interfere with the attack. Then there's also the MA, which I see you are taking advantage of to have the attack when our backs are turned. Seems like a dirty move to me. Maybe not technically against the rules, but still...

And I'm undecided on the 50 points rule. Maybe change it to 100?

Are you referring to the iBlock trick? That was amusing when I first heard about it, then the fighting started...
Anyway, is there a way to block this glitch? I've seen that you correspond with Kai by commenting on each others' MOCs and putting the sensitive information in quote boxes so the information doesn't show up in your fans' emails - I imagine that the remedy to this glitch would work in a similar way.

You used jumper plates? A good idea - I think that an excellent 1x2 tile-spacing technique utilizes a combination of those, 1x1 plates and headlight bricks. The true prize, though, goes to whoever can work out this one:
