I don't think it would fit the theme
"Get your character and build a cool mech/hardsuit/power armor for him to wear/pilot into battle"
It's as simple as that.

Remember it must be removable, not built-in on your character. You character must *wear* or *pilot* it.
If you're simply beefing up your guy, you're doing it wrong.

Well, I scrapped everything anyway since he didn't look right. I am now building an exo-suit, similar to Dylan Mievis's entry from last year. Not as good, but similar.

So how minor is the character tweaking allowed to be in Round 2? Would I be allowed to switch out the upper arms for a different design? I'm pretty sure the answer will be no, but just in case I figured I'd try because of how much simpler it would make my life.

Yes. drastic changes to the character's overall design aren't allowed, but changes in it's build are. We are not going to judge the characters in the coming rounds, only what you make for them so, do what suits yourself. Just remember, it's got to be clearly the same character.

Incorrect. Tie breaks are still based on merit. People end up on a tie because their score is the same as someone elses. The list does show a pattern of participant's MOCing consistency however.

Since my opponent did not post, do I get to round four automatically?

After much discussion, we decided to keep things as they are. Meaning that if your opponent didn't post his entry, you're automaticly on the next round. However, in face of such constant drop outs, we decided to make the next round a free-for-all again, to avoid all this trouble.

Also, there are no sub-categories in order to give you more freedom in the re-interpretation of your own character and as such, direct matches would have been kind of pointless :)
