I’m sure we forgot some minor details as always. No problem, ask your questions here. BUT(!) make sure that you’ve read the rules CAREFULLY. We will not answer any questions that are covered in the rules thread.

Would Blockocop count as a superhero for the contest?

He is already featured in 2 issues of 'Defective Comics', so my answer is yes.

Is it okay for me to sign-up even if the odds of my participation are slim? I might have a little bit of building time near the end of the first round in which I'd like attempt an entry. I know it said in the rules not to sign-up if one can't play, but I honestly just don't know at this point.

Sure, because there is never a 100% guarantee in life.
We need the sign up thread for checking purposes, therefore we don't want it unnecessary spammed, but if somebody really wants to participate like you, it is okay.

Sorry, Quinten, but no. Doctor Who is super but not a classic superhero.

If Round 1 starts on July 12, that means that I'm not allowed to build any potentially trans-categorical items to use for this Round earlier, correct? For example, I'm not allowed to construct a cityscape before July 12 and use it for the contest. Also, how does one locate MOC Pages Time?

1. Once more: NO building before the contest starts. Since we won't publish the categories right before round 1 begins, it isn't clever to build anything at all.

2. MOCpages time is Eastern Standard Time USA.

Would you send the prize to German, too? And are you paying the shipping or I have to do?

Actually It is not sure that I win, but I think It would be good to know :)

I'm paying for the shipping costs and I ship worldwide, especially to Germany, since I'm living here. Ich denke, das beantwortet deine Frage.

does the firefly series count under hero or is it strictly comic book

Just like in the case of Doctor Who, I'd say no. Firefly is a fantastic TV series, but it's not about superheroes, it's about cowboys in space - a scifi series.

To a certain point, thinking out of the box is a good thing. In this particular case you risk getting no points at all from the League of Judges because you missed the point of the contest. That would be a pitty.

This is a classic superhero contest with some slope, but no scifi contest. I think, the huge amount of superhero comics, TV series and movies allow a great variety of ideas for the entries.

It's looking like I'll have 1-2 days in which to potential build an entry (*keeps fingers crossed*). That said, does Captain Brickworld (an actual mini-fig distributed to all BW attendees) count as a superhero? He's decked out with a cape, a mask, and a superheroish torso.

Probably not, Ian. Like I said, this is about superheroes that at least have their own series (comic or TV/movie).

But you shouldn't focus too much on the minifigs. There are probably some categories that doesn't necessarily include superhero minifigs.
And even if they do, I and the League of Judges have no problems with custom superhero minifigs, as long as they depict classic superheroes/-villains in a somehow recognizable way.

The lack of superhero minifigs shall be no reason not to enter the contest.

So, what about John Constantine? He is in no means a traditional superhero, but Hellblazer was Vertigo's most successful title, and he is the current leader of Justice League Dark.

So is Batman, but he is one of the most popular superheroes ever. In other words, hæll yeah, Constantine counts, as long as your minifig looks like Sting and not like Reeves ;o)

Is there a place/site where there are details on what the main details of the group is (eg. what it is you make to enter)and what size the MOC has to be? I had a look in the rules and couldn't see anything.
I understand this must sound like a really stupid question :3
Thanks for your help.

They don't have to be square, but make sure to bear the minimum and maximum size in mind.

When you say no overhang do you mean nothing over the maximum length/width? Or no overhang of any sort - even if the moc is 8x8?

When you use the term "Introduction" in the rules, do you mean that you want the info placed in the actual "Introduction field box" or do you wamt the info placed at the beginning of any wording and/or extra photos one may choose to add?

Well, David, I'll put the cart before the horse:

You can't post their entries for them, because the rules allow only 1 entry per round, which also means 1 entry per contestant.

I must admit that I forgot to mention in the rules that contestants are supposed to build alone. This is no group contest like the MOC Athalon. Of course there's no way for us to monitor if somebody had help (or is there? Hehehe), but fair play should be a given.

Yes, they are allowed, but try not to depend on them too much. Don't forget, this is a lego building contest after all.
