Round 1 - Sidekicks
 Group admin
Round 1 will have two categories (A and B) for each group of Superheroes and Sidekicks. Builders may build in any ONE of the two, it does not matter which category you choose.
The Xenomurphy-Men (or short, X-Men - three players of each group with the highest scores) advance to round 2.

Categories for Sidekicks:

A) Come up with your own custom superhero and his personal nemesis, fighting each other. Build a vignette, min. 8 x 8, max. 24 x 24, showing the epic fight. A reasonable(!) overhang is allowed, like a plant, arm, leg, etc. A one stud wide black base around your creation is allowed. It counts as overhang.

B) Think like a supervillain. Now build a vignette (min. 8 x 8, max. 24 x 24) with a clever trap to catch a superhero of your choice. The more absurd, complicated and funny your trap is, the better. A reasonable(!) overhang is allowed, like a plant, arm, leg, etc. A one stud wide black base around your creation is allowed. It counts as overhang.

I am considering which category to enter, but I have a question. For category B, the description seems to be geared towards a whimsical "trap," intended to be funny. Would it be alright if I designed a trap from, say, a comic book? A trap that's serious and not funny? Or does it have to be something not already existing? Completely composed of imagination?

Both is okay, it can be a serious trap and it can be an existing one.

I was reading the categories and started to worry, they sounded incredibly difficult... Then I noticed I was reading the Superhero ones! Thank goodness I'm a sidekick...

You can use custom decals or capes, but please stay away from modeling clay

I think they need a bit more creativity, and a bit more thought... So I'm glad I fall into the sidekick category!

Just to clear things up, is category A asking us to create our own superhero or make a custom version of an already-existing one?

Create your own, individual superhero with his individual superpowers and villain. No existing ones.

You even left this comment in the sidekick thread, where it is completely out of place. After all you did, I must assume you did everything on purpose, therefore I'm not sad that you left, especially not if it makes you happy. Ta-ta.

It's about to get steeper! I'm nearly done mine. It should be up later today or tomorrow.
