Evil is a concept, so if humans believe in evil, it is real.

I think you have a point, but I would put it a different way: "God created everything, all that God created is good, even the things dubbed 'evil'. "Still, we should no do evil, and if there is no such thing as evil, why should we avoid it.

Quoting The Lego Man ...

I agree with ya. Evil is only Man's word for the absence of God.

Isn't God everywhere? How can there be an absence of God if he is everywhere?

Evil is sin, but what is sin? Porn? Killing? Stealing? Coviting? I say,all of the above.

Is there indeed light? Naturally. And as the obvious opposite, there is dark. However, we don't measure darkness. We only measure light, thus dark is merely a complete absence of light. Evil follows the same line of reasoning. It is merely the complete non-presence of God. Thus God did not create evil, but it is what exists when God is not in the picture.

As Albert Einstein said:

You might want to take a look at this:

Yeah, I saw this in the other conversation. I don't think the point is whether or not Albert Einstein said it or not, but the words themselves.

I would think so, but I just thought I'd point it out anyway.

Oh it can happen mate, maybe only to a certain degree; i'm not saying the COMPLETE absence of God, maybe only some.

And to continue, why does God allow evil? Why did God create the Devil? How come God is not constant, so that some places the is lack?

This might be a topic too challenging for some of us. I'm not saying I'm better or more intelligent then anyone here at all, but I'd like to offer that "evil" is indeed a concept and may be too difficult to understand for our younger Christian brothers. However it is indeed a concept with a word to label this concept. Any word can mean the definition used by the people. just look at the book Frindle ( if you've ever read it ). I argue that evil exists only by the modern day and limited definition in use today, but it is not a direct result of God's creation or any representation that it was created in His image. It is a result of free willl, which has lead to sin, which in it's greatest form is evil. It is not evil to take the Lord's name in vain once ( although a sin ) does not make you evil whatsoever. Evil exists in those that seek to do great harm to others and take the life of God's image.

Getting onto the topic of free will. We don't have it.

And 'Sin' is whatever is unworthy of God's presence. Take a look at the Ten Commandements.

Sin is not following the example that the Word of God Incarnate (Jesus Christ) has set for us. It is, essentially "missing the mark".
