JUDGES! FOR INFORMATION ON HOW TO JUDGE IN THIS CONTEST GO HERE: http://mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=23020&topicid=91283

Welcome to Round 1 of the Minecraft Olympics! You will find other rules and the categories below, but first go read the Rules thread again, found here: http://mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=23020&topicid=91264

In round 1 you will name your creations something along the lines of: MC Olympics Round 1 ___ (your creation name)

You must have your creation posted by 11:59 PM on Friday the 11th ( MOCpages time ). Judging will commence on Saturday.

And now for the categories! You must choose ONE of these categories and build from it.

Painting Mosaic - Show us your mosaic skills by recreating a painting from Minecraft in mosaic form. ( Suggested by Stephen Boe )

Rage Quit - Show us something going horribly wrong, like finding diamonds then mining into lava. You get the idea!

Giant Mob - Make a giant version of any mob in Minecraft. You decide the scale.

Dungeon - Show us good old Steve stumbling across a dungeon ( or about to find one, or passing one. Just include one ).

Tools - Show us tools! ( no, not a sword or bow ) from Minecraft. Maybe include a pic of your hand holding it. 3 tools maximum.

The highest amount of points you can get total each round is 60. Each judge will judge you out of 20 points.

And there you go people! I really would like to get 15 entries ( ambitious, right? ) for this contest. It's my first one. Thanks! Now get to building!

Did I say that somewhere? If I did that was an accident. I made it so the group accepts creations already though.

For giant mobs does it have to be a mob? could you make a Steve or a player giant? You have seen my giant Lego Minecraft me before right, Stephen?

Yeah. But I think this contest only permits new creations. Is that right Dylan?

Wouldn't that count as a "new creation"?

Just a suggestion when you do another contest you think you can do STAR WARS? Or a contest on just sci-fi stuff like STAR WARS or STAR TREK or HALO etc.

Yeah, new creations only. If you've been working on it and you have more than a base, that pretty much counts as being already made in part.

Hey everyone! Sorry I'm late, but i was kinda sidetracked by school... But i have my build, and it doesn't really fall into any of the categories. Would it be okay if I submitted it still?

Well, if it doesn't fall into the categories we can't judge ion the relevance to the category. I suggest making a new build related to one of them. I really suggest asking Dylan though.
