Hmmm. It is to REDESIGN it, not make. Why not redesign it as a space castle? (spastle)

You need to take an existing castle set (from before 2005) and recreate it using current building techniques and colors.

You do not need to own the set, just google the instructions for the set you'd like to re-create. :)

So, a castle set from before 2005 that I recreate, right? Does my recreation have to be castle?

I want you to think of a castle set that lego has made. then improvise on it. you could add to it. you could build the general design in another time period. Just look at a lego castle product and see what you could do to improve it. or you could do what this category originally meant(I changed it a bit) which is to take one of the original castles built by Lego and build it with today's Lego here is an exsample http://mocpages.com/moc.php/355525 remember creativity is everything.

no it dose not. it dose not even have to have a dragon in it you could do a machine that would help you train a dragon or something like that. It CAN be a scene from the movie OR it can be your own Idea of how to TRAIN a dragon.

you understand perfectly. its the moment when two sides of a battle(any battle any where) clash together and begin fighting hand to hand combat. remember this dose not HAVE to be two large army's meeting on a large field. joining a battle is really where ever two but gin hand to hand combat in earnest enemy.

I have a question for Lee about my category. Do we have to build a medieval weapon like western culture, or can we go more eastern, like samurai swords and ninja weaponry? It's still in the same time era, just farther away.

Hey I have a couple questions about my category, are we allowed to change the size of a classic castle? Like make it microscale, or make it larger? Also I was looking on brickset for all the castle sets and they consider the really old ninja and forestmen sets as part of the castle lineup, so am I allowed to use one of them? or does it have to be a "castle"? I just want to clarify before I start building :) Thanks, and also good luck to Graham Gidman, I have been trying to wish you good luck, but my comments haven't been posting on the thread so I am sorry that it has been late :)

ATTENTION EVERYONE:

If an opponent (in a PvP matchup) does not enter during by the deadline, the other person (in that matchup) who did enter, automatically moves on to the next round.

Also, if you did not enter Round 1 (and move on to Round 2) you can NOT be eligible for prizes and are unable to compete in further rounds.

Recently there was a typhoon in Philippines. Since I live near by (China), in about 10 hours I will be leaving to go help with disaster relief. I will be gone for a week, and quite possibly more. Hopefully I will not miss round 3 (if I make it, somehow). If I do, I am really really sorry! I hope to be back by a week, and if I am, building my R3 entry (again, if I manage to make it) will be top priority. Hopefully, I will be able to enter (yet again, if I make it :P) round 3 and this message will not have been necessary.

So I am guessing that most of you are tired of seeing my post. Oh well. Now I really do have some important stuff to say. Seeing as though I can't get ANY pictures to upload and I am leaving at 5 in the morning to go on a weekend trip, I might just have to forfeit. Trust me, I don't want to but I might have to. I will try to get my dad to help me upload some pics, even if its just a few but.... I don't know. Matthew, I am sorry. And now I am sure that all those who didn't move up in the rounds are going to be extremely angry but you know what? I tried. I just don't know what more I can do. If anybody has some suggestions, please... HELP ME!

Sorry... I can stop talking now.... Just had to ket you guys know.

Are you using the fancy uploader or the simple one? Since I don't bother to update Java, I use the old system, but the pics I upload I convert to jpeg, through a site.

I, personally, am in favor of no extensions this round. Or any of the next rounds, for that matter. I will begin judging...

Now?

Is that fine with all you guys?

Welcome to Round 2 of the 2013 BBG!

Well done to all the contestants in Round 1. Every one of you had incredible entries. It was tough to judge. Anyway, congrats to every one who made it to round 2! The top 16 contestants moved on to this Round.

The Round WILL end on Friday November 15th.

Requirements for Round 2:

Please title your entry: 2013 BrickBattle Games(or BBG) Round 2: [Your name] vs [Your Opponent's name]

Anyway, the moment you've all been waiting for! The matchups and categories for Round 2!

Zach Lucia VS Petric G

James Bond VS Graham Gidman

Category: Classic-Castle Set Re-imagined
Take any Castle set Lego has ever produced and build your own interpretation of it.

Fraser Robinson VS Alex Rode

Build a scene of a few warriors’ agents many enemies! You decide whether they will win or lose.

Good luck, and let Round 2 begin!
