Welcome, welcome, and welcome again!

Some of you all might already be part of the 100+ club; that's alright, you all are also welcome here :-)

If you have a creation(s) that have made 100 likes, use the link provided on the homepage to join there!

For now, please confirm you are here, and suggest members to add. I will be adding one or two Admins as soon as we have members, to assist in approving and adding member :-)

Hopefully! Although, technically it should be on about 80 likes, as several people rated it more than once! Still, I'm not complaining!

Which is a pretty big thing. And I did it in less than a year. I need to take better pictures of the Thunder Child and promote it a bit more. Might be able to push it to 100 then.

Perhaps, yeah. I personally have been thinking. Had I released my Flying Airport and ISSC later, would they have faired better?

Probably. I've actually got another big project planned (no bricks have been joined yet). 150 studs long, hopefully

What I don't understand is why some MOCs of mine that are really bad get popular, and my REALLY good ones just get looked over.

Example

A good one.

A bad one.

Hmm. For me, I have noticed, my really popular MOCs go through a phase where I question whether the MOC is really good or not, if people that normally comment/rate are still, active, and some other rather odd questions, but really, in the end, I'm just happy that I get any attention :-)

BTW, the current number of members is exactly 50 ;-D

While achieving the 50+ mile mark is very rewarding, I have noticed that some people purposely comment/like a creation more than once in order to hit 50. I would kindly ask you to reconsider. A creation worthy of 50 likes should be able to reach it without spamming/double commenting. And if it does not, the lack of likes doesn't diminish the quality of the build. In fact, spamming a good creation in my opinion can ruin it. Quality takes time, don't rush it. Just my thoughts.

Hmm.

I'll let it slide for now, but I'm going to add into the rules, that this point forwards, each creation added should not be spammed, within reason. Like, if someone comes back and comments again, and adds like an extra like, I'm still going to count that, but if you, say, 50 likes, but one person commenting (with likes) more than 5 times, I'll have to leave it.

Sounds good everyone?

Yeah, that sounds good. I was so desperate to get to 50. I think Alex only commented like 4 times.

Nah, don't worry about it. Your build was pretty good, and really, I think that you kinda over exaggerated on the other thread.

I'm not a big fan of booting anyone out of a group anyways, so, I mean, once your in, you probably won't leave via force....

That makes sense. I did it with Stephen because I had hit 50 recently and he was at 49. I wanted him to experience the thrill. What you say makes a ton of sense; I'll do that from now on.

Achintya... you nearly gave me a heart attack.

When it said "has invited you to join the group The 50+ Club!" my first and only thought was "what the #%$#, I'm not 50 yet, got a good few years to go yet!".

Anyway, I've added my only 50+, a feat probably never to be repeated, but at least it's on 96 (was on 99, but it lost a few recently) so I might get to add it to the 100+ too soon.

Talking of losses, I have a question. If a 50 moc is added here then is later reduced to 49, do you kick it out, or do you all just sit back and laugh ;)

EDIT: well, that didn't take long - an hour later and it made it to 100 :)

Heh, well, heart attack or not, you are here :-D Usually, I don't kick things out immediately after they show up in the group. Monthly, I come back to here and the 100+ group (don't get a heart attack when you see that invite ;-D) and have the creations listed in order from most to lease number of likes. What ever is at the end of the list and less than 50 is removed, but if that's your only creation, chances are that you'll still stay. You had fifty at one point, so. I'm not too big on kicking people out anyways ;-)

I think that may have something to do with the glitches. I know Ape Fight isn't one for breaking rules, that's for sure. But that one at 33....Hmmmm....

yep I think there needs to be some housekeeping if the whole point of the group is meeting the 50 like milestone but other lesser posts are up - it kinda defeats the purpose of the group - either that or some are just posting to all their groups witout reading the rules
