This is just a quick little notification. You have until the end of this month to post a MOC showing off some of your competition level skills. This is NOT a requirement, but it is nice to know how good you are at building. Multiple themes that you can follow are: Other MOCpagers Self-MOCs,an update to your own Self-MOC, the polar opposite of your own Self-MOC, or a genderbend of your own Self-MOC. Judges will not rate unless requested to or they feel like it.

What is a self MOC

What is a self MOC

You build a Bionicle figure fitting to your own real-life looks/personality. For example, if you are tall and thin, your self-MOC probably isn't sturdy. If you are physically weak but have a strong mind (very intelligent), your best fitting self-MOC is maybe a water-type, as the water Bionicles are known for being intelligent and rational.
A self-MOC is the Bionicle equivalent of a sig-fig.

Funny, I've been considering ideas for a genderbent Jethryn for a while... I guess it depends on whether I have enough time left given my role in the BIO-Cup.

Water types are also female. :P

Really? I wish I knew that before I built Shurik.

Hey guys, first time in one of these, slightly confused. So do we have our MOC in by the 15th of July? And this this just a single-round thing or is there over one round?

We have your MOC in by the end of the month (so on the 31st). And this is a once-a-month thing, the entry round is more or less a diagnostic.

Thank you for helping out! My internet was unfortunately out most of the day and I was incapable of responding to these comments D:

I posted my entry a few seconds ago. I have 2 self Mocs, one on my good side, and one on my bad side. The one on my bad side was my entry. I didn't post my good side moc because the pictures were choppy and blurry.

Must it be a new creation, or may I post a previously-constructed one? Thanks!

Sure, if it fits the theme. Once in a while there will be a contest where you must make a new one but if it fits the theme and you like it, by all means! This is a casual style of MOC-off.

So how do I go about requesting my entry be judged, exactly? I'm almost done with my entry MOC.

Well, this round is special. Normally if it got added to the group, it would be judged anyway, so long as it fit the category and the MOC-off was mentioned in the post: i.e, "This MOC was made as an entry to the Monthly MOC-off." For this round, just post a link to the MOC in this thread and say that you would like to have it judged. Kang and I will get right to it.

Seeing as we're getting all kinds of posts not related to the category, I'm going to say that yes, it has to be a new version of your Self-MOC, be it upgrade or a re-imagining.

Actually, it was more of a freebuild that more or less is a good example of my MOCing style/skill level. Not exactly in the suggested theme. I was going to enter it because I'll likely be busy with other contests for the rest of the month.

It has to be a new version? Ok. The one I posted is the second version of my self moc on my bad side.

The uploader doesn't like me so I'll have to post my entries via flickr link. Oh, here's one. The contest doesn't start for a while, but I wanted to make sure I put this here before I get too wrapped up in the Bio Cup. https://www.flickr.com/photos/83371110@N02/sets/72157645291996609/

Sure! I'm looking at him right now, but go ahead and put him in the group. If you want him to be judged just ask.
