Ratings Not Showing Up
Join to comment
I just noticed today that on a MOC I recently posted it showed I had 9 likes but I actually had 12. I know that there is something wrong with the rating system to begin with, because the first rate doesn't show up. So, is this an isolated occurrence or has anyone else experienced this?

I think it may be because someone else is rating the MOC at the same time, although I don't think that's the case.

I'm pretty sure that if the first person gives it a 4, it will not show up as a like until someone else gives a 4 or 5. At this point you get 2 likes, or if the first comment is a 5, it shows up regardless. Hope this helps.

Actually that's not true, i've rated people's stuff five when they just added it, and nothing happens. then the next person likes it, and only one smiley comes up

I think the first "like" does'nt count at all.

this is an old issue that has been mentioned in several previous discussions. Basically the first rating doesn't show in the likes count, but when you click into the "who likes this" list EVERYONE is listed.

You need AT LEAST two before it triggers.

Not sure why it is, not really a big deal to be honest.

it will do, that was my point. ALL mocs don't display the number of likes until you have at least 2 and always show one less, but if you click the link ALL are listed.

Unless "to get likes" is your only reason for posting stuff, it really isn't a big deal. The true figure is listed somewhere and they aren't being lost.

It would be nice if it could be fixed, but I can live the it as it is.
