Buddy Icon

Hey guys.

You can probabley see that my buddy icon is good right now, and I have no problem with it, it's the one I do want.

BUT I do seem to be having some problems with uploading it. It's not a major issue, but it just gets me confused-- and kinda annoyed.

So basically, what happens is I've uploaded my pic, and it says that my buddy icon will be next to my name in 15 minutes at the most (o something like that) but it's not on till the next day...

Like I said, it's not a major issue, it just gets me annoyed.

Thanks LegoBob

Yeah, that annoys me too. I haven't changed my icon for a while but when I did it usually took at least a couple hours to switch over. There's a bug in the system that pushes that request to change the icon further down the "to do" list on mocpages (so that reviews and uploading mocs get done quicker) so it usually delays it for a bit (depending on what time of day you do it and how much other traffic is going on at the time).

Long answer short, yeah, it's annoying and takes a bit, but it will go through.

Sorry and glad you have one you like.

Okay, thanks Chris, that sounds okay, like getting MOCs up quicker, that's better.

What are the little tags at the bottom of the buddy icons? You know how yours has Mod. Well theirs has epic, or god, or awesome. What is that? Is it just someone who spread something? And if so, is it allowed?

It's just a fad tha Yuri started. I don't think it's against any rules, I'm sure it'll pass with time though.

ya' know that advertisement problem I complained about a few months ago, well, I just figured out that it is not just one but bunches of them, but they all belong to the same dumb company, a game called "war of 2012" so if you would be so kind to do something about it... well, I would be happy.

Photo editing.

In Photoshop:
-Take a screenshot of MocPages front page. Paste it is Paint, and use the cut tool to isolate the icon in the top left (the red brick that has MocPages after it).
-Put that in photoshop.
-Use the clone stamp tool, click the blue area between the brick and the M, and paint over 'Mocpages'.
-You should only see the red brick and a blue'white space after it at this point.
-Use the font tool and add text after it.
-Load your buddy icon into a new tab as a backround.
-Copy the icon you just created and put it as a layer in the Buddy Icon tab.
-Put the layer at the bottom of your Buddy Icon.

Someone else could probably do a better tutorial.
