Needless Account Deletion
Every once in a while, someone's account gets deleted for no apparent reason. I would like to report one recent instance. The deletion of Andrew aka Hump-Free's Account. I have two questions: 1) Why was his account deleted and 2) Can he be re-instated. If Hump-Free can be Re-instated i would liketo see this happen. If anyone would like to report a similar instance or support Hump-Free's cause, please post here.

He perhaps did something he got deleted for that you don't know about, or he just decided to delete his account himself.

Actually, no. In my description of the situation, i was basically paraphrasing Andrew himself (from his new account)

No need for this, I spoke with him and he's already contacted Sean himself.

I realise this but, for one, i figured he needed all the help he could get, and for another, as a could not concieve any reason why this would happen to Andrew in particular, i feel an explaination is due.

Nope,that's not what happened.

The story is not needed to tell, but when the crash came, his pictures were lost,he then therefore made a new account and left the old one behind.Hope this explains everything. That's what I remember.

Not what happened. Not at all.

I read it all.I do have a long and annoying idea, but we should try to tell everyone who's in HFR that:

Hump-Free's account has been deleted
Leave the group so that we can start fresh
Also tell it on their most recent MOC

And some other stuff I should point out that I will think of later.

If he had a load of those flash widgets on his page, it could be a sign of a more proactive approach to enforcing the site's rules.

The current goal at the moment is to see to it that the above action won't be nescessary. Andrew intends to keep the current HFR group active.

From the Mods, we didn't delete his account that I'm aware of. When it comes to account deletion we take it VERY seriously and discuss it between all of us before any kind of action is taken.

Long story short, I haven't been a part of any conversation about his account nor have I or (to my knowledge) any of the other staff deleted his account.

If it's gone, he probably did it himself.

Its probably just a ghost in the machine issue. I don't think it was a targeted act, at least not by the good people who run this site. Maybe the account was hacked and deleted. Darn those evil people with nothing better to do.

I'd have to go onto Chris Roach's side for this Oliver, life will always be unfair for everybody.

If it wasn't deleted, and he didn't do it, then technical glitch? I questioned him about the easiest ways you can get hacked and he was good there. Still doesnt rule it out though. But I think what he really wants is to be put back as Admin of Hump-Free Rates. It has no Admin now, and he can't run it at full capacity. Aside from losing his 1 moc (which he has a backup file for) I don't really see why this cant be corrected.

Thank you for your insight but the story is that the Deletion of Hump-Free's account was not an action of Hump-Free himself (Therefore it must have been an accident, if what you are saying is correct). If the deletion WAS accidental, and if a deleted account can be re-instated (or un-deleted, if you will), then i believe that said action is in order. If you honestly believe that Hump-Free deleted his own account, then i suggest you look at this: http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=18247&topicid=76202 If Hump-Free's original account cannot be Re-instated, then i suggest you find a way to restore his adminship of HFR. (here i refer to his new account)

Also, I'll have to agree with the "ghost in the machine" theory; If Hump-Free's story is ture, and if it is also true that the Mods didn't delete Hump-Free's account, then that is the only explaination.

Hump-Free still has to change his buddy icon. His account was deleted, I can tell. His buddy icon is a smiley face BTW

I visited his homepage, and it said title hidden by name hidden. That happens to new people.

Simply put, yes. I was simply stating that his account was not deleted by the staff.
