Report Non-Lego: Thread 14
 Group admin
The last thread was once again starting to get a bit long, so we're on to #14...

Please report any non-Lego pages here.

Just a reminder, as in the last thread, that clone systems (like Megabloks, Kre-O, etc.) are accepted, as well as items for sale, and custom decals.

I'm sorry but have you ever heard of the clone brand TYCO??? It looks very much like LEGO but you can't tell if it is unless you see the top.

TYCO is a division of Matel, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyco_Toys who bought out the company in the 90's. On topic, TYCO bricks would be acceptable on MOCpages.

And yes, like Mega Blocks and Kre-o, it is almost impossible to know, from a distance, they aren't Lego.

Bear in mind that the patent on Lego bricks ran out in the 80's, so anyone can make "clone" bricks.

These are decals. Not creations. Don't know if it's tolerated but if not, this guy has lots of them.

Didn't you even READ what Mark said? Decals are allowed.

first one isn't a drawing it's an LDD image. so while personally I wouldn't describe it as a "moc", it doesn't break any rules.

second one, yeah definitely breaks the rules. There should be a picture of lego, even if it is unrelated to the "discussion".

Does putting a Youtube vid on a MOCpage count as Non-Lego?

If it is music for a moc, like a theme song, that is fine. Videos from YT such as Brickfilms, moc reviews, instructions, etc. are allowed.

If all you are doing is embedding a YT video with absolutely NO Lego, then it wouldnot count.

Well also any video that was used as inspiration or reference also counts. Cody G did that with his Bill and Ted MOC.

I read on Wikipedia that it is manufactured out
Of china, and they look just like Lego. They even
Made copies of some sets that Lego made. Just
Wanted to put this out there for u guys to know. Also, there are some
Videos on YouTube that compares Lego with enlighten bricks.

It's probably either that a mod just deleted his account or that Legohaulic deleted that comment. But the advertiser definantly advertised a non-lego website.

missing the point much. This thread is to advertise mocs that break the rules. The reason the links no longer work is because they were deleted.

if you want to view "great mocs" don't click links in this thread. Because even when they do work, NOT ONE is a "great moc".

None of this guy's stuff is his.

All the pics are gone from the Image Crash, but that yellow one is the same exact one as a link that Justin Stebbins gives on there exposing the copy-cat.

The decals can be found on Google, and that minifig of his just doesn't look like his.

Questionable. It contains a magazine article that makes a false Halo/Lego Video Game. No pictures of real Lego whatsoever.

Yes, sorry Mark.

http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/18074 (His moc) is a copy of this: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/15988

So the minifig I'd say might actually be his, but I am not sure becasue I really think I have seen it before.

The decal page: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/15544, has decals that can easily be found using a Google Image search. They are found here on The CABG website. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3637/3495819477_0c5aa2a86f_o.jpg

The first one shows how bad he is at grammar and names because it is dealing with BIONICLE's Kraata from the Rahkshi. It is kind of the same as when Shifu or Phipson or reallyanyone decides to post their sig fig going on vacation. Not much lego, but people still enjoy it. Now I really hate that picture work and story and other things, but it is technically LEGO as it has Technic bits in the pictures. The second one, I agree with, there is nothing there. The third one, has a Vahki in it, but because the picture quality is garbage, you can hardly tell, but it does contain LEGO.

First of alll, the second one has lego, secondlyy, I think a goodbye message would be acceptable even if doesn't contain any bricks. It's not like this guy is operating a spam account or posting totally random stuff. A bye note is relevant to MOCpages.
