Java won't let me Upload!
Join to comment
I have a problem with Java. Every time I try to upload on the fancy uploader, it says: 'Error. click for details' in red. when I click it, something like this pops up:

Java Plug-in 10.5.1.255
Using JRE version 1.7.0_05-b06 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
User home directory = C:Users(User Name)
-----
c: clear console window
f: finalize objects on finalization queue
g: garbage collect
h: display this help message
l: dump classloader list
m: print memory usage
o: trigger logging
q: hide console
r: reload policy configuration
s: dump system and deployment properties
t: dump thread list
v: dump thread stack
x: clear classloader cache
0-5: set trace level to <n>
-----
I have updated my java very recently, but that doesnt seem to help... any suggestions?

Wow, there is no comment here explaining the problem. Also another wow as to how this is another problem with pictures not uploading. Do people not look at the Help page first or look at past topics here? Hey Sean, rather than just having a locking function for topics, perhaps you could give Administrators the ability to delete topics like this so we don't have deal with them anymore. I'm not saying it's practical, but this is rather annoying.

I did comment, but it isn't here! (crazy computer) Anyway, wenever I try to upload, Java says 'Error. click for details' I'm not to sure whats wrong... I have all the updates for java, and it was working fine yesterday. to answer your question, I made this conversation because I could find no other problem like this one. If there is one already, I'd love to see it...

These may not deal specifically with your problem, but some may. These are all from within the last year.

This is also from the Help link at the bottom of every MOCpages page. I'm not saying your answer is here, but it wouldn't hurt to look.

The reason for all these URLs is because people don't read things as they should. You have a problem uploading images, okay, look at the Help page first, then come to the Help Group and find an existing topic because we don't need anymore because each topic does not need to be so specific.

It has been proposed previously to have certain topics Stickied to the top, but so far Sean has higher priorities for stuff that needs fixing/changing with the website in general.

It would be a nice to have though, if there was a single "frequently asked questions" thread, locked but permanently at the top of the list.

I've also suggested that the group should be set up so 100% of new threads require authorisation to be created. That way a mod is ALWAYS the first to read it, and can reply and lock it at the same time.

And yet you are still not a Moderator of the group. You'd be perfect. These are Million Dollar Ideas and yet because the site has somany issues from past crashes and hackings that they are overlooked. Pity.

It was stuck in moderation, some of the text tripped the nanny filter. I've released it from the naughty corner.
