Took a minute to load... Takes a minute to load everything strictly MOCpages. Everything else works perfectly fine, such as Facebook, Youtube, Flickr... etc.. I think one person said that it's working fine for them.. But mostly everyone else has been complaining. (I also used some different hotspots before I knew about any of this to see if it was just my internet that was making it go slow. Turns out, It's not.)

Everything on MOCpages is running slow! Was there a possible malfunction with the installation that wasn't noticed?

Not much gratitude in here.

So how many of you kiddies donated money to the site you're presently complaining on?

Oh, you didn't, you're getting it for 'free'.

Apart from that, first rule of tech: nothing ever goes quite right the first time, and if it does, it's probably going to fail when you least expect it.

Finally someone has something to say that makes *sense*! Anyways, I think that Mr. Kenney has already got the message, so.

Well said.

Guys, It's probably just a result of the newly installed servers, or it's just having a bad day. Either way, don't freak out, it'll most likely be faster again in a jiffy.

Took a minute to load...

Sorry for the slog... the new servers are completely 100% new computers, which had to be rebuilt and reconfigured them from scratch to match the old servers. There are literally tens of thousands of virtual switches and settings, and we obviously got a few wrong when we set the severs up Friday night.

Our server admins have been tweaking these configurations nonstop for the past three days to isolate what was causing the slowdowns. We finally found settings on our database server that were causing it to wait many seconds before replying to the web server. ( Who would ever make such a setting? Sheesh!) :)

Anyway, as you can hopefully see, now we have the settings right and the site is much zippier as of a few minutes ago. (A previously 5- to 17-second delay is now an 0.02 second instantaneous response.) Yay!

Isn't that how it is with everything? Especially today with everything being tech and everyone thinking they are techy.

Mine's been gone for months. I almost reported it, but then decided to fix it on my own. Turns out, my Ad-Blockers were blocking it...

I posted a description of how to deal with that issue in the thread discussing it. http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=2600&topicid=89947
