Questionable Home Page
Join to comment
I don't usually create a topic on here, but I found someone's home page with some questionable hate messages such as "CAUTION: Interaction with this user may result in death or serious injury" and "It's just that I'm a nice person, so I prefer killing rather than insulting and demeaning others. At least my victims keep their dignity".

I don't know if the moderators tolerate such people, but either he has to go or someone needs to put some sense into him.

Here's his page - http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/103747

Why would he put that?

Yeah, he thinks he's being funny, I would guess. I'll pass this along to the boss, and let him decide whether to leave it, edit it, or delete. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm the guy's friend mentioned on the homepage. He's a nice guy, just has a weird sense of humor.

It's a joke.
Also, I just realized that he has a quote of mine on his homepage. Smooth.

Considering all the negative press attention "threats" on the internet are getting, those kind of jokes are in pretty bad taste.

In this case at least, it's immensely obvious that he's just joking and intends no actual harm.

Yeah, well before we had the Moderators checking everyone before a creation from them was posted, we had more people just advertising pills and condos and other things to take advantage of kids. We're still tracking them down from before then. While it may be "obviously" it is still not in the most tasteful of senses. I don't agree in deleting the guy but I don't fully agree with your opinion either.

I don't think anyone is taking it as anything other than a joke. But what a few of us are saying is, it's not a very funny joke and could offend a lot of people.

I'd say it was best to edit out the threats of violence and murder thus avoiding any issues with the Mods.

So I saw something by Adam Rutland recently and decided to see what he's been doing lately.

Among the incomprehensible mess that is is homepage, I see a link saying 'my plus'. "Ah", I think. "There's a lot of words here, but none of them seem to mean anything. Perhaps this link will explain things better."

So I click.

And scroll for a while.

Looks like a fairly normal teenage girl's page, but hullo... I recall seeing some of these keywords before. If memory serves, it wasn't in a family-friendly sort of context.

Something to do with a word that starts with "P" and ends with "Ornography".

The pic in question was added on the 15th, but there's plenty of other suspicious images.

You'll want to hit "End" three or four times and Page Up a bunch to find the picture in question. It's pretty unmistakable.

Does the p ornographic picture appear on MOCpages itself, or on Rutlands "plus" page? If the picture is on MOCpages, then the Mods need to do something about it now. If it's on the other site, there's not much they can do about it, except notify his/her parents as he/she is still a minor, and remove the link.

It's on his Google+ page.

Ah. Then, like I said, all the mods can do is alert his parents, and remove the link.

I'm quite aware they can't edit Google +, and that's not what I was saying.

What I was saying- which is not explicitly stated, as I thought it would be evident -is that links to pages containing teh ghey pr0nz probably aren't allowed on pages not Parental warning'd.
Teh pr0nz in question isn't explicit either, but it is highly suggestive and there are further links which I suspect go to stuff that is very much so.

That makes perfect sense. I understood what you were saying, but I just wanted to clarify.

*looks at the Google+ page*

Yes, um, right, I think it might be a good idea if he got rid of link. That's fine, it's his beliefs etc, but not stuff to be sharing on a Lego site. What worries me is that only the Google+ page had a link which means either

a)Adam's just lazy
b)He wanted us to see that more
c) His twitter and others were worse...

The english language is not Rutland's strong point and other YFOLs have issues with HTML as well. More like than not he tried to include other links, and the + was the only one that worked.

He's actually 17. You can see "and im 17!" in the jumbled mess of letters on his homepage, although it takes some looking.. He's had p ornographic images on his plus page since he first posted that link back last year, the older ones were a bit more "revealing" than the current ones. So the fact that you found more images means this is a common thing on his Google+ page. I really don't give a hoot what he believes in or looks at, but he shouldn't be linking his plus here with that stuff making up most of his page.

And according to my homepage, I'm Emperor of Sweden. I find it hard to believe anyone could live to the age of seventeen while behaving as Rutland does.

I went through his google page. And while some may not agree with his personal choices, there's nothing that would preclude him from having the link on his MOCpages homepage.

Thanks everyone,
~Chris.
