Project Venator

As some of you may know, I will be beginning work on a large Venator. I have the Star Destroyer model, so, I plan to remodel the side panels. This, however, will require a major change in the internal structure, so, I will have to tamper with that. Once I get the shape correct, I will work on outside paneling, engines, and the bridge area. Once exterior revisions are complete, I will make the inside of the ship minifig scale.
Now, this could take a week, or this could take several months. Since I know there are quite a few people who have attempted Venators in this group, i'd like your advice.
When I get home, I will begin studying picstures of venators and working on designs. Wish me luck boys and girls.

Have you seen any of the pictures for it? It looks terrible. It costs $120 and comes with 5 minifigs. It's a rip-off. hat's why i'm making my own.

Ya. Two Republic Guards, Chancellor Palpatine, and two clones. Plus, a ship that looks like it was amde by 4 year olds. Ya, that's worth $120.

The build Isn't worth 120, that's for sure, but I Think it's worth it considering all the pieces you get.

Yah, if you are buying it for the ship don't get it. But if you are buying it for the pieces then get it. All of the grey pieces will come in handy.

Ya, but, I just don't see any value in it. I mean, it's got good minifigs, but, the build is absoultely atrocious, and it is overpriced. Have you seen any interior pics of it? Anyhow, it looks like it does have some good pieces. Maybe i'll get it for the pieces and guys.....wait.....hehehe.....i just got a brilliant idea...

It's the preliminary model, not the final one (I think...)

I don't think it's a rip-off. Don't kill me! But I am going to buy it, it's pretty cool. I mean, not everyone has the right pieces to build a whole big Venator?! But if you do, go on, it might most likely be better than TLC's version. Oh and now you say it's a rip-off, I take a look at it again..

Actually I think it's almost impossible to make a Venator class star destroyer that is actual minifig size. Because a gunship alone is tiny compared to a Venator, think of a minifig size gunship inside the lego Venator, thats why Lego's star destroyer is kinda small. But I would very much like to see a really big Venator, it would be cool.

I agree, it would have to be MASSIVE to be mini-fig size.
