group vote: delete inactive members?

alright, I've been thinking about it for awhile now, so I thought I'd put it up to vote,

should we or should we not delete those members who have not posted hardsuit?

and

should we spare thous who have not posted a creation but have contributed to group discussion?

for obvious reasons anyone who has actually added to the group will have a heavier weighted vote.

couple of things:

1.please address both ideas even if you say "yes on the first, don't care on the second."

2. only one post per person please, to simplify counting.

Okay... let's see how this works shall we?

I think the members can stay, as long as they seem to want to participate, but if all they are doing here is trying to get others to comment on their stuff, boot em'...

i try to participate as much as possible, but obviously some MOCs can take a long time whether someone is in the process of building, or the builder is having a hard time getting ideas.
i think another issue would also be letting the people rejoin later, would you just ignore them or give them another shot, maybe a kind of 3 strikes and your out for good thing?
i think if someone isn't posting you should ask them or warn them or something, maybe tell them to give updates on construction progress as reassurance. I am a pretty slow builder my self, but you can be sure that i will always have something being built.
just some thoughts...

yeah, knoll. That's exactly what I was thinking, just "boot" them, not "ban" them. Also from now on we will have a more selective invite process, as in "No hardsuit, no invite" so we should never hear "why was I invited?" again.

Strength in numbers.
Though quality of the contributors is most important, having a high member count doesn't hurt. I agree if a user acts like a 4 year old he/she should be booted.

Yes to the first. I mean they can always rejoin if they ever decide to build a harsuit.
Yes for the second. If a member is
actually adding important imput to converstaions then why boot them?

Now I am in many groups. On top of that, I have a very busy life, so I do not get alot of time to stay in touch with all my groups. I am working on a hardsuit right now actually. Another post apoc mech.
In summation:
Yes to the first, since I have posted mine awhile ago and am going to again
Yes to the second

2)Yes

just want to point out that Matt S. and King G.G.M. gave the exact response I was looking for, a simple yes here, no there or whatever you pick. Kudos guys, you just made my life easier when I have to tally this all up.

-M.K.

P.S.- Going away for spring break, expect no word from me until at least the first of next month.

When making the torso, do not overlayer. If you make too many layers, it will be too heavy or it wont look good.

awesome guys, I'm feeling like leaving everything as is for now, but if I see one more, "why was I invited, I don't even like hardsuits" I will take action.

those who have contributed *positively* to the group discussion will be left alone when judgment day comes.

good job on the first "group vote" It's good to know that I can count on this system in the future.

Yes, those "why was I invited" comments can be immediately deleted and user be removed. That may be mainly my bad, as I was inviting people liberally in the past.

Hey guys, once again thanks for the input, as for knoll grey, and others asking not to be deleted, you guys have contributed to the group, knoll has at least, so don't worry, by "inactive" I mean those who have not posted. Not those who have not posted in awhile...hope that makes sense, if not let me know.

Who cares?

Yet again a rude remark. Maybe you don't care about the guy's WIP, but others might. I find it pretty unnecessary for you to be so rude.

i have to say that some people, like me, don't post a lot because most of the things that they build are too much like someone elses, or the arent very good at coming up with good ideas just to point something out

I think that it should be that members that do not have hardsuits posted after about a month or two should be deleted. But not after shorter than that. I have 2 hardsuits ready right now, but every time i try to upload the pics,i get an error message. they will be coming, dont worry.

To the first I think that if you dont have any hardsuits you should be booted, BUT if you lack the bricks to build a hardsuit, but are knowledgable about Hardsuits and you leave useful comments every month or so you should be aloud to stay.

If you dont have any hardsuits, and dont leave useful hardsuit related coments then you should be booted.

i finaly have a few hardsuits (more like robots) i will post the war mmoc, then individual mocs.

You should have to have a hardsuit made to be able to be in this group. It's about hardsuits. You shouldn't be able to be part of it just because you discuss things. Everybody in the group should have a hardsuit. If you're just working on a hardsuit, then you can join when it's done.

1) Yes
2) No

I would like to clarify that members should not be booted simply because they haven't done anything for a long time. If they've posted a hardsuit, they should stay.

i made a hardsuit based off of areestas pheonix design. i was the only one that requested for instructions, he answered with the instructions, i give full credit to him. no all i have ot do is find a camera im my house, i have no clue where a decent one is. it will be up, and you didn't here that from me.

and i agree with you on the second matter, tracy. we should post and be saved.

I would agree one most cases, but some girls like to build with LEGO, so sometimes you can get yourself a double whammy... sometimes.
In her house for five days? Wow... most of the girls I know wouldn't let me in the door... heh.
