New color scheming

Lime green and trans-light blue are no longer required. The main emphasis is on smooth, flowing shape, white armor, and black underarmor. My next Venus MOC (I have no idea when I will be able to build again) will be an example of the new, relaxed color standards.

So basically, you get to choose whichever color as an accent and whichever transparent color, but it has to fit the above requirements (smooth, curvy, white/black).

I hope this change is for the better. I don't want Venus Collective to be seen as a faction, but rather a building theme. Getting rid of specific colors will certainly help, or at least I think.

Actually, having looser rules makes it so more people with less variety of parts can build it, something factions do frequently.

On the other hand, it creates an emphasis on shape rather than color... Getting the VC shape is hard with almost no white curves or slopes. Beleive me, I'm trying.
Perhaps this might be one the hardest themes around to get right.

We should nominate it for something.

The shape really is the emphasis here, and that's what I'm trying to get members to focus on. The white/black color scheme is required, but beyond that is optional. You could only have white/black and a curvy shape, and it would qualify. Someone should make a Venus Cow or something... lol.

Good that you changed it, I have next to no Lime-green Studless pieces whilst having quite a bit of white curvy pieces!

Dali, I really glad that you're allowing this new change. I have practically no lime green pieces. Anyways, I have a new mech that is Black frame, white armor, yellow accents. I was wondering if I could send you a picture of it before I put it up, and you could see if it would work out. I'm concerned that it might have too much yellow to be considered as a Venus collective moc. How can I send you a picture? Email?
