hey nuf. as a newbie here i had some questions.

1. is the brotherhood similar to the assasins off the game we all love?

2. is there a specific fighting style or can one differ his style?(like u know a style that uses all of the users strength to batter the enemy into submission?)

3. what are we exactly, nobles, peasants or former soldiers?

1. Ya, its kind of a similar concept.

2. There is no unique style everyone uses. We all have unique styles, but generally do the same thing: quick, fast counters and silent, unnoticed first strikes.

3. We are outcasts. People who do not have a place anymore and were brought into the Brotherhood as a way to survive. We all have a reason for being here, whether it be vengeance, a need to help people, or longing for a place to belong. We come from a variety of backgrounds such as soldiers, peasants, nobles, farmers, merchants, travelers, etc...

Well, for the combat, we are all trained on how to handle various situations, and usually approach them in similar ways. Though it is up to you how you do it.

Sure. Just give me a basis of what you want in it, like the reason he joined, what tragedy (if any) befell him, etc.

Alright, how about this:
He was once a highly ranked soldier of Renzval Valley, living in Ferlon. One day, he was sent on a mission with other soldiers to find who the leader of the Brotherhood is. As they searched the Eastern Settlement, they were attacked by a group of troll raiders. Members of the Brotherhood helped the soldiers repell the trolls, but Bryn was the only surviving soldier. The brotherhood offered him help. He tried to attack them, demanding to know who their leader was. The Brotherhood members vanished, and Bryn returned to the king, wounded. Disgusted with his failure, Bryn was stripped of his rank and banished to the Glaciers in the north. There, another Brotherhood member cared for him, and offered him to join. Bryn traveled back to the Eastern Settlement and met with the leader, Arralek. He was granted permission to join, took an oath to serve the Brotherhood and became an apprentice Brother...

I prefer dual daggers or knifes rather than swords, they've always been much easier to hanlde for me ( although I still am REALLY good at using swords :D) Freerunning is SO much fun! Have you ever LARPed?
You do any freerunning? Ive been training for about 9 months now. And no, Ive never LARPed, though I would probably beast it :P

Too heavy? If your not fat, you can probably do it lol (No offense to fat people). It just takes some coordination, stregnth, a steady head, patience, courage, and LOTS of training.

The best I've done so far was a double backflip of a moving escelator (spelling?). I personally don't have any videos but a few of my freinds do. (I don't really like showing off my skills ;D)
So, do you do Freerunning, Parkour, or both? I guess I should say Ive been doing Parkour for nine months now, but Im working toward some freerunning (Just figured out backflips on the trampoline). Like I was telling MEP, I might post a "one-year-in-training video" when March comes around.

Ive had my fair share of climbing. Got the merit badge in scouts twice :P We went rock climbing a few weeks ago on a sandstone face about 50 feet high. There were barely any grips, and I just flew up it without rock climbing shoes.

Is it possible to have my character be a mystic? He'll use a bit of magic, but his nature will reside mainly around scrolls and books.

I also have seen that everyones character is based around stealth. Is it possible for my character to reside as a scribe and secretly deal information to the botb? just wondering.

Can't wait to be involved!

Um.... its gets a little hilly in the far eastern part. The really mountainous settlement is the Northern Settlement. Also, for the whole magic thing, I would study what the magic is like in Mythada. For some good references, look at my comics. Especially the beginning and end chapters of "Legacies", and some of the recent chapters of "Risen".

Ah. So here's all he wants to be able to do as far as magic goes:
-The ability to cast a magical net out of his hand.
-Green fire magic missle
-Teleport

These are the only abilities this character needs to have. His strengths are manly in just plain knowledge. More or less a sage. (His knowledge will only really come in handy if you put him in a comic, I don't know mythlanda* (sorry, forgot the name) like you do. )

Ha ha, its Mythada. Dont worry about it. Ok, the powers dont seem to be too far out there, so your good to go. Sounds to me like this guys would be a master of magic trained in a very different way than other mages in Mythada, but that works just fine.

I did. To be honest, I think you should try building your scenes using more bricks instead of plates on their sides. It would look a lot cleaner and more porfessional.

Ok. I was just pointing out a possible background, since other mages in Mythada dont use those kinds of abilities. Since he uses different techniques, he may have been trained differently than most mages (being trained according to the book and trained in the Aether).

Another question from the endless questiongiver:
Please don't think, i want stealing your stuff but may you allow me to use one picture of your eastern settlement street scene in my comic? Not to be a real part of it, but i'll try to create the illusion of a bigger city, so the houses could be integrated somewhere in the background to create deepnes (like in Kelsos Apocalypsis). I didn't try it before, but one year ago i wasn't able to create any effects. The buildings will appear somewhat blurred in background while my scene is on front, finally you see, the streets are going further, so i haven't to build dozens of houses. Credits goes to you, of course.

And one question left:
Does the Brotherhood own the complete house (hideout)? It's at the street so are there just some secret rooms or is the house officially empty, sold to a supporter of the brotherhood, ...?

Sure, you can use it for the background. As for the hideout: I guess there are a couple of different things that could work (there are different hideouts, so different stories). I guess it can be owned by a Brotherhood supporter, or it can be just one of those buildings people dont worry/ think about. Those eexist even today, so it could work. But generally, yes the Brotherhood does use the full building. There may be some secret stashes or entrances in places owned by supporters, but hideouts are gonna be the entire building.

And more questions:
-While a church wouldn't really fit into Mythada i thought, maybe the estern settlement could have a big belltower as special building raising up to the air. My idea of architecture would be a round one with a crystal roof, instead of a classic bell a crystal globe could be in. Would be used for declarations, warnings, time, whatever, but mainly to have a viewpoint and eyecatcher in my comic. I won't build it if you think it doesn't fit.
-The rest buildings will be inspired by what was made before, so most noble houses would have a minarett(not the religious thing but a small tower on the roof) like in your old moc, which holds a ladder upstairs to the roof. But i also plan bigger villes for very rich nobles, storehouses and stuff. Decors are amde by stones and of course gems. Is there a city wall in the eastern settlement or has it to have one?
-Last question: If the humans once knew the ancients, could there be still hints in arts and culture like statues of them, sure in the third age noone would remember their meanings?
-stupid but last questions: How about horses? Are they cheap and often used or if just for rich people while others using cows. A normal mine worker, what status would he has in Mythada? Could he even pay a small chariot for a few days?

A bell tower could work for the reasons you mentioned. Your ideas about the other architecture will work just fine as well. However, remnant of the Ancients would not be seen. The Ancients never lived in Rensval, only in the area of where the "New Troll City" is. You have to keep in mind that the humans wanted them gone, and didn't want any signs of their existence to be mixed with the culture of the humans. And yes, horses are pretty common. Miners don't gt payed a whole lot, but if he saves up he might be able to afford a chariot eventually.

Who's leading over a settlement? Is there a major sent by Nefferon, some kind of aristocrate or is the head of the guards actual the most powerful guy in town?

I guess the leader of the Guards is the most powerful. They report directly to Nefferon. Though, there could be some people who have gained a bit of wealth and became somewhat powerful as well.

I'm new. This group sounded really cool, but I'm not exactly sure what I'm supposed to do. Could someone please tell me?
