BURNING MEGABLOKS!

Hey Blake, on the homepage you wrote that people should join the group if they think megabloks should be burned... A few weeks ago or so (with parental supervision...) I wrapped a megabloks brick in paper towels, poured lighter fluid on it, and let it burn! ... Just thought I'd say that...

megablocks...
the reason why I hate them is because they look very much like lego but still not enough to combine them with lego
I wouldn't burn them though (but I won't use them either)
I would sell them to get money for buying real lego :p

MegaBlocks have their place. I've been known to use them in some places for interior supports on things where they can't be seen. I travel a lot for work, and am in Asia about half of the time. There are a lot of non-Lego brand sets that are compatible with Lego brand bricks. Sometimes I buy them just for the unique minifigures. My first MegaBlocks ever came in an unsorted bin of bricks that I bought at a garage sale. While I don't endorse their use, I don't condemn it either. Burning them seems a bit severe to me. Interesting statement, but a bit of a waste at the same time.

Its probably time I added to this "conversation".
I was sorting through my white bin yesterday, trying to get out all of the trans-clear bricks out for my future waterfall/glass. I came upon like 30 megablocks/briks and they ended up in the trash can.

Standing upwind from the smoke, of course! But I think burning MEGAbloks is a bad idea. You could be in trouble, be hurt, burn down your house! And even melt your LEGOs! Don't burn ANY brick you have that is seperate from your LEGOs! Don't burn K'nex, don't burn Megabloks, any bricks!

NO, no, no.... mega blocks do have a purpose!!! If your desk is uneven you can use them instead of Legos to shove under one of the legs to even it out! Or I let my cat chew on them. See, very useful! ;)

I've invented a new kind of brick separator using them.

Here's what you should all do the right way build a huge wall with them ( while building be sure to glue them ) melt them down with a lighter than get a small hammer and smash it down. Its a great stress-reliver. to prove even more servays show that 99.99999 percent of people get relived of there stress.

(all servays have used only one person Me!)

megabloks are the true face of evil so lets take a vote here dump them in the bottom part of the ocean where it is coldest and the most pressure, dumpem in a volcano, bury them so they never get played with again, torture them endlessly, burn them, give them to 3 year olds so they will be chewed on, grind them to bits, break them. good luck on the vote.

I have tried to melt them and pour them into a couple LEGO molds. Unfortunately (or fortunately) it burned instead of melted. Since then I have refined it but the color scheme is different than that of LEGOs.

don't give them to 3 year old's they will get a terrible disease from them the first two ones are impossible even though the volcano sounds tempting burying would be extremely bad for the environment(partially because they are mega blocks and partially because they are plastic)grinding them to bits would be bad because it would make a fine dust that when inhaled would not be good for your health(because they are mega blocks)burning them would make horrible poisonous mega blocky gasses so I think torturing them endlessly(and filming it and uploading it to youtube)is the only way

OK not only do we have the right to voice our opinion but you play with LEGOs right? Well there you go. They completely stole LEGOs idea and called it their own. They are the parasite that completely "revolutionized" plagiarism. Now do you understand why?

Actually, in all fairness, Megabloks, while nowhere near Lego's quality and range, have come a long way. They seem to be more aggressive of late and have acquired interesting licensing deals for Iron Man and Halo of late...stuff that I would pay good money to buy (and have). I must admit I like their minifigures for Iron Man and Halo. Although on the downside, this means that Lego won't be doing these.

I sold mine too. For years my relatives got me megabloks for Christmas and other things because they thought they were LEGO. They didn't know the difference. They did get me a lot of real LEGO too over the years.
