When I entered this group today I saw that you guys were debating about the creator set of the year. So i thought it would be hard for a mini set to win, so why not have a MINI creator set of the year.

Personally, I think that it should be the 6910 mini sports car. However, there aren't many alternatives for that out there...

I think 5865 mini dumper is good, I've seen quite a few alternatives for it. And so far I have made 4 alts for it.

Hmmmmm.... I like 6742, but I must admit that 6911 is a very good Mini for all kind of vehicle, buildings and even robots.

I like 6911 a lot. It has a lot of possibilities and some really cool parts (especially the "T-bar").

5761 and 5267 are still available in the LEGO Shop. I had a lot of fun building some alternatives with these sets.

I don't have 6910, yet, but it always looked a little boring to me...

5761 looks like a good set, especially after seeing Gabor Horvath's Log Loader.
6910 is better than it looks; it has some SNOT parts, tiles, and slopes, which are very handy in making an aesthetically pleasing alternative; just look at http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/327838 (and sorry about the link being my own, I just haven't found many other alts from that set).
I also like 4415, but it has some very odd looking parts that arent good for normal vehicles.

New Year, new sets! I can't wait to get my hands on some of these 31000 "Mini Speeder" sets. Here in Germany they aren't sold until February and I've already placed an order at Amazon.de for four of them.

The parts list is so cool: First of all it's quite a cheap way to get these white "Y-spoked" wheels. It also has three trans-black 1x2 plates which are not very common, yet. Adding a pair of blue bows, a pair of grey 1x2/1x2 SNOT brackets and a 2x4 wedge plate it's quite a cool set to buy just for the parts.

So I ordered three for the parts an one for my Mini Creator collection :-))

31001 "Mini Skyfighter" is a cool set, too. I might also buy one or two of these ;-))
