I watched the video. I think what they're trying to do is tie this game into the prequals and OT. The soldiers do look like clones, but I'm guessing they just have similar armor. The Imperial ships look like predecessors to SD's and maybe the TIE Defender design has been around for a while. I'm not sure about the Aayla Secura thing. Maybe she's a great grandmother or something.

I thought this took place AFTER KOTOR, so this would be like 1000 BBY, since this is most probably before Darth Bane made the Rule of Two. To me it seems like SW technology is eternally stuck in the same period from post Naga Sadow to Legacy technology seems the same, and I've heard that the Republic troopers armor is made to resemble Clone Armor, perhaps Clone Armor is a permutation of that armor. I beleive the Sith battleships resemble SDs to show why exactly people fear it's iconic shape.
