Suggestiong about posting Entries
Sorry if I start a new thread, but I couldn't find the original one :(

Ok, so the rules state thet your entry's title should be "MOColympics entry etc John Doe Vs John Smith etc etc".

My suggestion is that the MOC's title should be just it, and all that other stuff should go into the description box. Then, on the pics area's first line, the link to the opponent's MOC.

Why?
Because in many MOCs the title is part of the creation, and many vigs would lose a good deal of effect.
Would Kelso's "Waiting for MOCpages..." http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/103616 be even half as funny if the title were "MOColympics entry blah blah blah"? I don't think so.

So, do you think it would be an acceptable change? The description box is immediately near the title, so I don't think there would be many problems in identifying the entries.

Let us know what you think and what you decide :)

that makes sense. but I'm sure Chris is going to have a nervous breakdown. I'm pretty sure he hasn't slept in over 72 hours.

Well, tough luck. He's there to protect and to serve, after all ;)

Please don't make things more complicated than they already are (though I'm sure you're not intending to). Letting Chris set the rules of the game is the best, easiest, and least frustrating way to go. If the entries aren't titled "MocOlympics Round One: So-and So vs So-and-So" it will be very difficult for the judges to find your creation and your opponent's creation. It can turn into a disorganized mess, and quite a few people won't know if it's a MocOlympics entry or not.

I agree with Yuri and I agree with 'Nickre.

A standardized title could really take away from the feel of the MOC, but you don't want to give Chris a more difficult job that he already has. So, during the MocOlympics, we could give all of our entries that dumb title, just for Crispy's sake. Then when either the MOC wins or loses, the title could be immediately dropped (of course a MOC is in its prime when it's new).

Just wanted to throw it out there.

or, in the intro, we could put the 'real name' of the moc to give it back that glamour.

Yes, feel free to name your creation whatever you want to, but keep it in the description.

that'll probably be the best solution.

The title thing is put there so it's easier to find and catogorize each moc. Please keep it that way for mine and the other judges sake. As for adding a title to it, please feel free o do so in the opening lines of the description. That's what we all did last year and it worked out fine.

Only when the pay is right... speaking of which, you owe me. I won't embarass you by airing just how much on the pages... but you'd better get that home loan thing in order quick.
