Judging is open. Judges please take your seats, read the judging rules and decide the fates and dooms of us all.
Remember you can also nominate entries wich do not match the rules. If you do, I'll check for the infraction and if justified I'll disqualify the entry.

Ok guys, here we go. First off, I'd like to point out how fantastic some of the entrees were. Everyone did a fantastic job and you should be very proud if you win or lose. My judging rested on mainly creativity and the design/structure of the top. The results...

Ok, we had some great entrees in this category, but Jack and his soccer ball technique stole the show.

Cat 1-15:
3 p to Jack Fonchezz’s The Ultimate Lego Top
2 p to Master Shifu Leo’s Bird Cage Top

This was the hardest category to judge, since so many entrees were very creative and very well done. In the end I went with Moodswim's unique Transformer top.

Cat 16-100:
3 p to Moodswim's R2-DOTP – Transformatop!
2 p to Willis, the Legomancer's Space Station Top: The Avalon

This section probably had the best of all the tops. Shannon's entree was beyond awesome, but unfortunately for him, the contest is a spinning top contest, so therefore I was unable to give him credit for his awesome "top spinners." In the end, Cody's top prevails by a little bit.

Cat Over 100:
3 p to Cody G's Spinning 101
2 p to Shannon Young's Dark Matter

Halloween entrees:
3p to Jason Corlett's Spider Web Top
2p to Mister Bone's Skull Spinner

Honorable Mention:
Jason Corlett's Spider Web Top:
http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/161833

I know this one was overlooked, but It's just awesome! This is a great combination of some serious creativity and some great techniques present in the both the web and spider. Great job, Jason!

Well, there it is folks. Great job everyone, and remember we still have more judges to come. These standings could, and probably will change. Good luck! -Dylan

This was incredibly hard to judge. There were too many great creations out there to count, and everyone, EVERYONE contributed something amazing to the list. But, alas, in the end there can only be six, so without further ado:

For 1-15pcs

1st Jack Fonchezz's ultimate spinning top -3pts

2nd Topsy Cret's Devil's Twisting Twister -2pts

For 16-100pcs:

1st Moodswim's transformatop -3pts

2nd Eric Smit's spinning top -2pts

For 100+ pcs:

1st Mark Legorski's mexican bandido top -3pts

2nd Shannon Young's Dark Matter -2pts

Honorable mention:

Luke Chapman's Rainbow Warrior Top because it looks so cool when its spinning.

Great work, everyone!

I loved all the ideas in here but there are a special 6 ideas that caught my eye. They are:

Cat 1-15:
3pts: Luke Chapman's Lighthouse Spinning Top
2pts: Master Shifu Leo's Bird Cage Top

Cat 16-100L:
3pts: Willis, The Legomancer's Space Station Top (this just really makes me wonder.)
2pts: Moodswim's R2-DTOP Transformatop. Amazing.

Cat 100+:
3pts: Cody G's Spinning 101. I love this top. It's my favorite out of all of them. Peroid.
2pts: Shannon Young's Dark Matter.

Great Job you guys! These entries were off the TOP! Oh, Imrav, you crack yourself up. Have a good one. =P

Congrats, Moodswim! I'm perfectly fine with landing 2nd (usually it's lower ;) ) and you definitely deserved 1st!

Thanks, man! I liked your entry too. Thank you, judges for your kind votes (and taking that extra $50 I slipped you). And thank YOU, Yuri, for having this awesome contest idea:)

Quoting Cody G
come on, come on, I still have a chance at beating SHANNON YOUNG....

Do we have five or six judges? In the "Judges Wanted" thread Yuri says Christian can't judge because he ended up entering the contest, and I never saw a replacement announced.

I'm up 9-6. If we're going with five judges, Cody can at best tie with me. If we're going with six, he can in fact still pull out a thrilling come-from-behind win. There's a big difference!

I'm a sports fan and sports fans love fantastic finishes. Please appoint an alternate sixth judge if you haven't already, Yuri!

I still hope Ryan Tennant will show up soon... but in case, I think I'll ask for an alternate judge.

I tallied up the scores and this is what I have so far.

1-15
Jack Fonchezzz- 6 Shifu Leo- 4 Topsycret- 2
Luke Chapman- 3 Wes Pitter- 2 Yuri Fassio- 3

(Shifu can catch me still, and it is possible Yuri or Luke can get second, if Shifu gets no points. They can tie for first, should they get three points, and nor Shifu Leo or I get anything)

16-100
Moodswim- 11 Willis- 5 Eric Smit- 2 Das- 2

(no one can catch Moodswim, no matter what. If Eric or Das get three points, and Willis gets none, then there will be a tie for second.)

100+

Cody G.- 9 Shannon Young- 6 Mark Legorski- 3 Yuri- 2

(Shannon can catch Cody, but it isn't likely. Mark only has a shot at tying for second, if he gets three, and Shannon gets none. Same thing for Young and Cody.)

So those are your standings! It is up to mystery judge/Ryan Tennant to decide the results!

With (at least) Imrav and Josh to give scores for Halloween tops I'm still in with a chance (Thanks to Crimso!). C'mon Yuri, Shannon's right - we need a big finish!

I appointed a new judge yesterday, I guess he needs some more time to check them out. If it's not done by tomorrow, I'll personally ask Eggy or Price.

Ok, since I came in at the last minute I applied my awesome powers of observation late into the night. My final and indisputable results are:

Cat 1-15
3 pts to Jack Fonchezz for an engineering feat
2 pts to Dave Shaddix for creativity and daring

Cat 16-100
3 pts to Moodswim – This should be the “overall” winner. Just a great build.
2 pts to Luke Chapman – who doesn’t love seeing someone possibly turned into a pin cushion

Cat Over 100
3 pts to Mark Legorski – The Mexican Bandit looks like a carnival ride – guaranteed to make you hurl!
2 pts to Shannon Young
(Only category I agonized over – sorry ShannY, but the hurl factor carried the day!)

Halloween Theme
3 pts to Mr. Bones “Skull Spinner”
2 pts to Stuart Delahay's "Debra Cadabra"

Honorable Mention (optional)
Jason Corlett – “Spider Web Top”

Hope everyone had fun, and good luck in next year's contest!
