I just think it would be easier to make incidents with other depatments this way

The Jakeland FD has worked with the city council in the organization of a new company. there is a desperate need for another ladder in the city especially in downtown jakeland or south jakeland. there is also a need for an engine on the west side of the city. The new chief of the Jakeland FD has proposed a plan and got an approval to start a Quint company. This is controversial among the JLFD due to the JLFDs reputation of being an "old school" fire dept. So this quint idea is sorta new to all the dinosaurs. The new quint has been ordered and should be arriving shortly!

Thanks for asking Collin. But, Paul's right. The proposed rigs will be built and are being speced out. The current rigs will be built following the new rigs. The reason I haven't started building anything up to this point is that I was still organizing my department.

Due to some issues with Smeal, FDCB rescinded the purchase of the 2 125' Smeal aerials; we instead went to Ferrara and purchased a 127' aerial, and also approached Metz and ordered a 39 meter aerial. The Metz will serve as a reserve as it will definitely not pass LNFPA standards.

So, i have decided to make a very small rural department, with maybe only 2 trucks. Any ideas? what would be good for a tiny rural department to have if they only have 2 apparatus total?

Do something old like a 86' Pierce Dash. Most small dept.'s I know have old trucks.

How about a couple of new things...

I was never quite content with my cab design until now. Nothing major, just a different placement of bricks and shorten the cab.

Name change too. I figured there are enough names with Lego, brick, etc. So, welcome too The Township of Stony Creek!

And for the good stuff.

Station #1

Stony Creek Fire department has replaced Engine Co. #13, an E-One rear mounted pumper with a 2009 E-One American Eagle Pumper.

Ladder Co. #12 will remain the 2007 E-One Bronto. Updated the body, but still have work to do on the boom.

Station #2

SCFD has ordered and received Ladder Co. #24, a 2009 E-One CR-100 Aerial in a silver (light blue gray in lego world) and red color scheme.

Currently looking into a pumper and rescue to be added to Station #2.

Folks, lets please try to keep some order here and keep to the topic of this particular subject, which is "New Deliveries" The topic is meant for announcements of DELIVERED apparatus only. Please leave comments for the apparatus on that apparatus' page, where it is provided. Thank you.

Sorry, I cannot. (And Bob this is my last rant) but I meant by the european style grille that lego uses. (Because they are European) You can contact me further at one of my creations.

As for the topic, Mini 307 may go in for a refurb to be a patrol. It may become a brush unit.

John, expect an email from me off group. Also, plans for an apparatus belong in the topic apparatus on order. Nothing was delivered. Again, please keep the subjects to the proper topics.

I'm just guessing...bot it could possibly be contender-style body and engineering on the inside, simply put on a premium chassis. I think Pierce builds all the contender products at their second plant in florida. Maybe they combined a top of the line chassis with contender features.

I have two updates for you today. I have done more updating of Tower 6 and Engine 4. For both rigs I have updated the front of the cab, so now they look like 'true' Pierce Arrow XT's. On Tower 6 I just changed the lights configuration in the back, but on Engine 4 it got even more body work. I put in a hose bed, ladder, updated the back, and even threw in a deck gun. I like the way the deck gun looks so I will be doing that to a few of my other rigs.

The "new" 1957 Seagrave Model 900-B 70th Anniversary Series Pumper has be accessioned into the collection of the Lego Fire Museum. Photos of a 2007 Seagrave Marauder II were added last week. It is very interesting to see how much apparatus has changed in 50 years. After going to the New England Chief's show today, I have to say that the new Seagraves really are beautiful trucks. No Lego truck comes close to the real deal.

Amen to that! I wholeheartedly agree, they are stunning indeed. Was that the NE Fire/Rescue/EMS Conference that you went to? I know it's up here this week, and the Dash CF is on tour as well. I'm going up to see it on Monday.

I saw the Dash CF. The Mack CF is bettering looking. The place was packed with Pierce as usual. Only 2 Seagraves and 2 ALF. KME had a strong presence as did Rosenbauer. They had two platforms there plus a bunch of other oddball pieces. It seemed like there were more ambulences too.

The rigs underwent another change. Our engine is a 2007 KME Excel, our ladder is in the works of being changed, everything is not lifted anymore (decided it shouldnt just be brush calls.)

Crimson it is! I built my Spartan like no other. I took ideas from Christian, Paul B, and Anthony Dryden into one. I think it looks very accurate. Here is the specs on the first department (Still undecided name, Costa Lego maybe?)

Engine 1- 2007 KME Excel

Ladder 1- 2010 Spartan Gladiator/Crimson 100 foot rear mount aerial

(Ambulance most likely will be transferred to my other department)

Great to hear, Anthony. But please remember to put this in the proper topic. Since you ordered the truck, it should be under the topic "Apparatus on Order." Once you take delivery, then and only then should you post the announcement under this topic (New Deliveries). At any rate, I can not wait to see the finished product.

Hi Josh!
I believe the problem here is how you constructed your post and the lack of information. See, you said you took delivery and ask what people thought. You then linked a picture off of flickr. Being that you are posting on MOC (My Own Creation....key words) it is assumed that you are posting a build done by you. It is fine that you received the rig for your town, which was created by someone else.....just be sure to indicate that right when you post it. See, there have been instances where someone has taken a picture of someone else's creation and claimed to be the originator. I happened to me. Someone posted that they took delivery of a pumper and copied a picture of my Engine 12. Funny thing is right on the side of the truck you see "Lego Twp Fire" and my Station 9 in the background, yet it was a delivery for some other town name. To avoid confusion, be sure to indicate if the truck is donated, built by you, purchased or otherwise. If you said that your town "took delivery of a used Rescue donated by...." it would have gone over better.

Also Josh, you did ask for people's opinion on the new rescue. Matt gave his. You may not like what you heard from Matt, but he gave his opinion and he is entitled to give it when asked. At least we all know he won't sugar coat his opinions. If its good he'll praise it. If it junk, he'll let you know that too. :) Play well and stay safe!

i am sorry James.

let me start by apologizing me assuming that you were claiming you constructed the rescue in the picture. the problem is that there are lots of "builders" who do this all the time. so much there is a group on moc that will call attention to all those fakers. and as far as my opinion, its just my honest opinion. usually if i dont like something i might not comment on it because like my mom used to say, if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything at all. but like i said before i thought this was a case of stolen creativity. so thats why i voiced my opinion. my opinion stands, i am not that fond of that rescue. maybe yours will be better, i look forward to seeing it. but even if i dont like it who cares? the only opinion that matters is yours.

Theres no need to say sorry, i was trying to point out what Bob has said so well, you need to just take a second to read the post and make sure it makes sense, Matt and I where just confused by the wording, for example "my department needs a new hazmat for brickyork" is a little confusing "I need a new hazmat" would have made more sense.

Wait until the truck arrives, do your mods and im sure we'll all come and check it out, good luck.

For the price it would cost for this truck i could get two whole more trucks. Plus I equipped this one out and that wouldn't be possible with the lights. it would be pretty cool if it was though.

I am pleased to say that I am back. I have been busy building over the past few months and I have a bunch of new apparatus to post; antique and modern. The first "new" delivery was a '71 Sanford quint. That was posted today. I have a few more aerials and some distinctly different apparatus lined up to post this fall.

It's not a new delivery per se, but my 2000 International/KME pumper is posted. I like the boxier older International cabs more than the newer ones. This truck was on Brickshelf for a while. I did a refurb on it and upgraded the pump panel to make it like the new panels I have been building this past year.
