In this conversation we will be sharing ideas and such for decals.

I find that www.classic-castle.com is a great place to start with finding basic decal templates to work with.

So if you have a helpful idea, or a site that you know that lists decals, please post.

A random tip: if you don't have any of those fancy printers or special decal paper junk, a good way to add a nice effect to your decals is to place a strip of clear tape over it before you cut. This will make it somewhat shiny, keep the colors from fading, and offer protection from the elements (water, generally speaking).

A tip for more complicated decals: if you want to make a torso decal, lets say for Halo, you could take an existing picture of what you need, copy it to paint, and re-size and trim the pic to fit a decal template.

Remember: why work hard when you don't have to. Before you begin work on a decal, make sure no one else has made the same thing. This is not to avoid the appearance of plagiarism, but to make it easier on yourself. Just use Google Images and print off an existing copy. If you can't find what you're looking for, you have no choice but to make your own.
