I don't see the problem here. They don't want money nor do they post buddy icons as a MOC. So really, where is the problem, as long as they make their own?

I'm in the process of taking care of it. They are allowed to make their own buddy icons BUT you guys are correct that they can't post them as mocs on mocpages. I'll let them know the difference and hopefully everyone can go on and oh... I don't know... maybe actually BUILD some LEGO once in a while?

If you take a look at their group site, you will see that they actually don't have any MOCs there nor do they accept any new ones. They are well aware of the rules, at least it says so in their group forum.

I read through the group and the admins of that group do say that they are aware of the rules and are telling each other NOT to post buddy icons as "creations." They are uploading them to their home page which is perfectly ok. Thanks for the heads up on this one though guys. We'll keep and eye on it, but I think it's fine at this point.

Actually no, making decals is fine.

The basic idea is that decals can be "used" as part of a moc while buddy icons are only for personal use.

Speaking of buddy icons... do us a favor and remove the blue bar from under your name. Although you're not trying to come across as part of the administrative team, the "bars" are only for official use. Thanks for understanding and taking care of it in a timely manner.

Are group pic MOCs illegal? I know I've had one for some time, and I've found myself guilty of some of the "crimes" mentioned around here, somehow flying under the radar. Tecnicly, the MOC doesn't contain any Lego, MOCs, or anything of the like.

I'm not sure what you're asking, Brady. Can you rephrase the question?
