A few years ago, I made a display for my school library. Also, recently, I saw Dave and John's display at a library. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/156878
Hopefully, this winter I'll build a new display for my new school's library.

I'm planning to do something with Lego in someone else's classroom tomorrow. If it works good, I'll describe it some more. If not, I'll put it in a new category - "Things That Didn't Work," or something like that.

I teach a media class and sometimes the kids will make brickfilms. Even the lower grades can do it, and once in a while kids will surprise you with a good film.

Sweet. Someday I'll have to make one of those. My brother knows how, so he can teach me. That would be a fun special project for the kids. Thanks, Dennis.

I've always wanted to bring my Lego into my class, but until recently I didn't have any great ideas. Then, my mother-in-law invited me into her classroom to share what I do with her students. It turned into a pretty big deal, and I made a MOC out of it. It's posted in this group, or you can click this:

I made a display for the school library, but as it turned out, I did much more. I made a contest where students would read a book, make a scene, then win a prize. One winner was picked from each grade level. I chose judges from among the school staff, including the pricipal, the librarian, and two teachers. I was happy to see a number of students participate, and I got a lot of positive feedback from teachers and students. This is something I plan to do year to year. You can see my displays here:
