For the Emperor!

Alright, this is thread for how the COP works. It's what Geartech calls a Social Monarchy. Emperor Ian, though powerful, uses his power for the good of the people. He is their voice, so they don't have to worry about trying to be heard, they can dedicate themselves to working for the good of the COP.

The Fleet Lords, the commanders of the military, are the best of the best, excelling at strategy, tactics, combat, and a zealous, some might say religious, loyalty to the Emperor. -Most- are willing to do anything in his name, be it genocide or making toast.

The problem is, despite the Emperor having the will to do good for the people, is that he can't always do it. Area's that are of minor importance to the empire as a whole, such as the frontiers opposite of Earth, and the edge of the galaxy, do not receive as much funding as more populated and industrial areas, closer to Tarsis. Though outer regions are still loyal, there is dissent over what they see as being ignored.

The COP operates on the doctrine of PEACE through POWER, using the massive might of it's armies and navies to keep things in line, for the more unruly autonomous regions would fear having to go up against the finest military in the galaxy. And the COP is harsh. Planets that get out of line with dangerous (even heretical?) ideas are punished with orbital bombardments of vital areas, forcing them to rely on the goverment for help, and through that help, the goverment eventually gets their loyality. The system works.

For the glorious Emperor, the Will of the People, the great Ian!

I might have forgotten to add that since Ian the Great cannot always travel to these outer-rim (would that be appropriate in this case?) worlds, fleet-lords are also looked at with high prestige, as the People see them as extensions of the Emperor. They of course, don't understand how much of a higher being The Great Ian is compared to his Fleet Lords. Do we use formations? because if so we should really have the Iron Fist formation. and by the way I kinda stole the, "Peace through Power" from Command and Conquer (Kane can give some pretty good speaches).

Sure, we can use formations. And who cares if you stole it, we've stolen things from Halo, Warhammer, BSG, and many other things too.

For the Emperor! And as for formations, I like Ender-styled loose formations. This allows much more flexibility.

Yes, Ender's Not-formations are the way to go in a space battle and commando missions but when on a planet with large armies I must say that strict discipline and formations are probably the way to go. Use lots of smaller groups. say of 100. in stead of enormous groups of troops that are hard to move, split them up into many smaller groups so that they can work together with one another easier. also, place your formations right up against each other so that the enemy can't tell where one formation ends and another begins. that could give you the element of surprise. And what good parade doesn't have a whole bunch of pointless drills and marching in formation?

So I guess that this would be a good example of Heroic Leadership. If Ian was killed (his body only of course, since, "his soul and his spirit will go on.") by U.N.E. assassins everyone in the COP would be in mourning. Meanwhile if John Moffat where killed, they would pretend to mourn him but would truely be happy because they would then be in a position of greater power. That, I guess is an example of the Where's Mine? battlecry. That is why we must not let these creatures pollute the galaxy. Think of the wars that would ravage the galaxy if they won. They would rip out all the resources from a planet and just leave it's corpse to keep floating through space. Though some have seen the Light and have seen the Path Ian has made for us, most are still those corrupt, poluting little beings who can't think beyond themselves. It's a miracle they've come this far.

Agreed, though technically it should be called Thoughts on Earth Humans, because Tarsis evolved humans as well. They're just more advanced, otherwise the COP would be another UNE.

Which reminds me. I will be posting something called the "COP Irregulars". Basically aliens in COP uniform that aid in our cause.

Editing done. After reading that it seems like we're the good guys! Anyways, the troops with the redeye skeleton heads are aliens? Or are they uber fanatics that ended up like that because they built warships and tanks all night long for many years?

Sammy is right, they are the Thyrendi. Hailing from the planet of Thyrenda in the system of Thyr. You see, most of them worship the star Thyr (it does give the planet life and all that), and thus Thyr is in many names of their system.
