Only about 120 years, a split second for a Zyann. However, those 120 years are limiting. So much to do, so little time, right? Like all short lived life, Thyrendi seek to acomplish as much as possible in that time. Gives that quote from Blade Runner more meaning: "A star that burns twice as bright only burns half as long."

Something like that.

so do thyrendis suffer from cancerous cells? the only deadly disease us zyyans have is manociliosis which shuts down maniosis so we die from illnesses and cancer after 3 million years

Yea, pretty much. In the time it takes a Zyann to grow up, a whole generation will have lived their life and would be preparing to settle down for the final 20 or so years of Thyrendi life. It's pretty common for any Thyrendi over 100 to find some where quiet, like Owyhee, to live and just enjoy their final time before dieing. Kind of a reward for a century of hardship. No rest for the King though, he rules Thyrenda and it's Associated Colonies until the day he dies. The cost of being King.

Almost all cell based life can have cancer. It's not too common in Thyrendi, as they live in a star system with very low UV radiation (one common cause). However, if they go to another star system, like Sol or Tarsis, they need protection from the UV rays, or else major skin cancer happens.

2 years? Or 2 million? If that's so, then the first Zyyan atronauts must still be around.

I meant space flight, like in being able to travel to other planets in their original system.

Also, is Zyyan reproduction limited? If it isn't, they'd have so many individuals it'd be insane. Imagine three million years of humans that never die... Well, haven't died.

sorry corrected(they are still around anyway lol)

as for the other question a male can reproduce an unlimited time but the womb shuts down after the third child but the pregnancy rate is 3 years tho

Ah, makes sense. Thyrendi are capable of producing a good deal of offspring, but they have learnt the lesson of overpopulation the hard way. And I mean the hard way. When they reached 15 billion and still had no way of getting to other habitable planets, it became clear something had to be done. The solution? Thyrendi scientists attached an engine to an asteroid and crashed it into their own planet, wiping out 99% of all life, and melting the ice caps, creating a massive global flood that changed Thyrenda from a world covered by steppes to a world covered by water, dotted with mountains shooting up from the depths. A few thousand years after that, the orbital derelict was discovered, and with it, the means to reach new star systems.

Yes, a few. The Royal Guard use a very old semi-automatic rifle design, with an axeblade mounted on the barrel. It's an axe and a gun. There are more, I'm too lazy to think of them though.

"Sometimes you need to do things you never thought you were capable of." -Admiral Cain, Battlestar Galactica. The admiral means that things sometimes have to be done, no matter the cost. The Thyrendi realize the value of their world, unlike Earth Humans. They did what had to be done to save it and themselves. By killing themselves nearly to extinction, they preserved the planet's ability to support life.

Wat? How does that work?

A planet can only support so much life until it's resources are consumed and it becomes uninhabitable. By getting rid of 99% with an asteroid, it stopped the process, giving the world a few thousand years to recover from the immense over population and unceasing consumation if it's resources.

@Khal: It would have been worse. Thyrendi terraforming had not been invented yet, and there would have been no way to sustain nearly 15 billion people on an asteroid for the mileniums it would take to reach even the nearest star, which had no habitable planets.

My race is the Zardoch. We are the results of the last bits of antimatter that still existed in space. These last atoms were on a planet made of neutral matter, thus allowing the anti-matter to remain existing. As the rest of the planet evolved, the small part of antimatter did as well, and after a few million years, the Zardoch came to be. Once the first desasterous attempts at colonizing other planets had happened scientists finally were able to realize the concept of matter, antimatter and neutral matter. That is when finally, after 3.6 billion years since we had evolved, we made ourselves bodies out of neutral matter. we control this body like a puppet and do not feel pain. Our bodies can take almost any form, and can take a great deal of damage and we can just grow back what was destroyed as long as whatever was damaging us didn't get deep inside us do reveal us to matter. if so, we cease to exist.

not with neutral matter, for it does not react to either "Matter" or "Antimatter"
if the world we live in right now were made of antimatter, we wouldn't know it and would just call it matter. neutral matter could be what the planet is made of, along with matter and we wouldn't know it for it would apear the same as matter or antimatter for that case.

Wait, how does anti-matter even come to exist naturally in this universe? Let alone, how did they figure out if they came into contact with matter they'd both be annhiliated? They'd need to be encased in a sheild of this neutral matter...

OK. they tried to colonize nearby planets that seemed completley habitable. they did not know, however that these planets were made of matter, not neutral-matter or anti-matter. at this point they realised that something was horribly wrong with their colonization atempts and for a couple billion years, they just studied. eventually they came to the conclusion of this antimatter. that is when they created different bodies for themselves, out of neutral matter. after all this time, they were able to actually explore the galaxy. or a small peice of it. during all the time they had been stuck on their planet trying to figure out what went wrong, they also were able to create very advance weopons and other things. the only reason they didn't become an enormous empire, was because they only lived on a few planets.

Ah, but how did anti-matter (what we'd call anti-matter) come to be in this universe? It's not normally found in the natural universe. It can be made artificially, though. Perhaps there was some other power at work?

very possibly. the one thing that must be remembered is that my race evolved by itself. all that is known about our origins is that we evolved from the antimatter that SOMEHOW happened to apear on a planet not only made entirely of neutral matter, but also capable of bearing life. so it is very likely that some other power was at work making a little science experiment.

My Race well atleast one of my sigfig's race is Valos, big reptile creatured for some reason, the big lizards survive as hot blooded. They live in many habitable places like Terrandix which is home planet of the the Valos, they've known to survive on the pretty much all city planet, Tygeth. Very polluted. origin of Valos come from the human word"Valor" which they are known to run into battle with bombs strapped on their chest to protect their tribes. Even the weirdest part, Valos that live on Terrandix only use simple tools like Axes, bows, Catapults, Etc. while other Valos know ALOT about technology. They're really good at Adapting too. it could go from Tarsis to Zyyan. they wouldn't live long though, the ones that immagrate there, die fast, they HAVE to give birth so the next Valos Generation Can Adapt until They can fit into those type of places normally. They're Sentient. Not much more to say about em except they're Very good at adapting. Some of them are known for a weird Defect in the mind that makes them, really, really, really Agressive. even though scientists study it, it can't be cured, yet. Not much more to say.

This isnt to do with a positive negative ion bond reaction! antimatter annhiliates when it comes into contact with matter! and everything is made of matter! an electrical/positive current has nothing to do with why it anhiliates! read angels and demons! and its in the name ANTI matter
