....I didn't happen to know you aren't allowed to have a Bl00dy super or half super ship unless you were a Admin, Mod or fleetlord or something!....

I can understand your frustration, most of the rules only make sense if people were here when Steel Curtain was made, but all the rules/curtains can be found in the rules thing,
...
And the super-ship thing? If I think I know what you are talking about it was to stop people from posting SUp@r creations that they 'claimed' to be bigger than the entire universe and could wipe out the H.G. [I DARE NOT SPEAK ITS NAME!} with a single shot!
...
Maybe we could have a rules pool topic, where we can make amendments and additions to our fine rules and steel curtain!

Irritatingly, Steel Curtain does not even mention several rules that are in place, yet are not in the rules when you join! For instance, my initial knowledge of COP's policy towards super ships was not very much, no thanks to the admins/mods apparent ignorance with Steel Curtain.

I didn't happen to know you aren't allowed to have a Bl00dy super or half super ship unless you were a Admin, Mod or fleetlord or something! And EVERY rule is supposed to be listed. So, I've decided to make this topic - IT IS NOT a WaaAAAhhh *whinge* *COP is mean* *Tehy admins are F#@$k1N @zZhOlEs!* topic. If I see as much as ONE 'whinge i hate steel curtain' post here, I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND DESTROY YOU FOR DARING TO POST SUCH IRELEVANT BULLS@#$! HERESY!

This is for people to notify the admins of missing rules that should be there/How Steel Curtain should be improved/'Welcome to the COP, newbies' topic.

I'll need a copy of Steel Curtain to post this, and a few people to stir up C R A P and a few admins/mods to state if that C R A P violates a rule/rules. If that rule is not in Steel Curtain, I'll add it onto the post containing the rules so people who skip the rules when joining/missed a rule/rules when reading about Steel Curtain/People who are just ignorant, etc, etc, will ACTUALLY know the rules and therefore know better.

I believe this topic should live so the Mods or Admins can make newbies and annoying rule-breaking people read this and make them read them until they accept the protection from KlOnEtArDiOn Steel Curtain grants us.

I AM NOT ATTEMPTING TO BE A FORUM COP. OR A MODERATOR, OR A ADMIN. I am simply posting what I believe will help improve COP's rules and giving newbies/ignorant people a chance to stay in COP. I think new people who don't read the rules and then refuse to read this topic should be kicked ooouuutttt- - - - :D I feel happy now since I just wrote that.

yea i hate it when NuBZ, excuse my spelling, make these like small ships and say they can destroy the universe.

Ah, yes...
Bad times, bad times...

But I got quite a few ratings by making "Teh Antai Hai Grownd Ship", though.
"Prey on the situation."

You do realize you just called the very writer of Steel Curtain ignorant of his own anti-drama operation?

Yes, that's what Steel Curtain is. Back in March and April, this place was madness. I'm sure you've hear that though. They are only an add-on of rules.

But the anti-super ship stuff is a left over from the days of Fed, the days of Last Resort and High Ground, the height of the EOS. People still don't like super ships, mostly because a hundred ordinary ships can do the job just as well.

If you'd like, feel free to start an anti-super ship ordinance, and post it here so we can put it in the rules.

I'd say the people who wrote it or the person who wrote it was being ignorant, because I read the whole thing and saw nothing saying 'No UbAr Ships lul' or anything like that. I even read the whole thing several times over. And if the Writer of Steel Curtain is you Awesome, I'm sorry, but considering that Steel Curtain has existed for quite a long time now, and the fact that the rules are still the same yet make no mention or list any new rules is just being ignorant.

Or maybe we simply got used to no one doing these "UbAr Ships" of yours for such a long time (as in, pretty much all the summer) that it practically became a rule. Try to see it from our side of things, instead of calling me ignorant.

Very nice reference. But there are two so, "The Scottish ships."

And who is, "CC"? He/she (she?-yeah right) is mentioned in Steel Curtain.

Oh, CC is the old name of Andreas, who at one time was a leader of the EOS. He's passed into an old legend here. Dang, Steel Curtain is getting outdated.

Perhaps with all this talk of it, there should be an update?

Yes, an update should be done. And I am of the opinion that if someone starts saying RACOPy things, they should be dealt with, with a much greater amount of force.

"As of April 16th, 2009, Operation: Steel Curtain is in effect:

1: Talk of spies shall be NOT tolerated.

2: Pointless topics like "why does no one comment on my mocs?" "look at my mocs" anything involving plans to destroy the High Ground or Skaborrs (plausible ones will be allowed, at admins or mods discretion), "EOS Threats" "Fed and Andreas" (or any variation of this), "Insults", random topics unrelated to the COP, "join my group" (unrelated to the COP), no "ally with my faction" or anything else of the sorts or variation shall be NOT tolerated.

3: All builders are obligated to put maximum effort into things, show CC that his blatant rudeness hasn't done anything but get me angry enough to try and make you guys better.

4: Members who violate any these rules twice shall be removed.

5: Members who violate any of these rules again (if they comeback) shall be banned.

6: More rules can be added if nessacary.

7: These rules can be immediatly revoked if Ian decides they should, or Gus and the mods can come to a unanimous decision."

There you go.

The COP people are free. They're not allowed to leave Coalition territory unless settling new systems. Also, learning about the culture of the enemy is forbidden. So yea, freedom. Brave, too. Each citizen is trained in basic combat to defend their homes and empire. I mean, an absolute monarchy is tottaly free, right?

just to let you know, you are a fleet lord. Everyone is one. You "can" build big ships, sure thing. But we just dont want people to be making super weapons on the ships and making them too big. Your idea is fine. Go build it man!

Using Kol's suggestions, I have a revised version of Steel Curtain, not in High Ground Construction Crisis era format:

0: It is compulsory for new members to read Steel Curtain fully before pressing the "Join" button. After their membership is approved, they must read the "Unofficial COP Help Topic" (found here: http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=811&topicid=32614#comment-332618 ) to further their understanding of the rules and what WILL NOT be tolerated.
0a: Do not bring in your own faction without consent of Ian MacDonald, John Moffat, and their subordinate admins. Anyone who does so shall promptly me be removed without warning. You did read this, after all.
0b: Respect and whatnot still apply. Please, use your brain before you post something that might be offensive or any other negative implying term you can think of.

1: Talk of spies shall be NOT tolerated. This group is for COP creations ONLY. NO STAR WARS.

2: Pointless topics like "why does no one comment on my mocs?", "look at my mocs", old EOS related things, topics about destroying the enemy, Operation:____ topics, random topics unrelated to the COP, "join my group", “can my factions join?”, “new enemy for the COP”, "ally with my faction" or anything else of the sorts or variation shall be NOT tolerated.

3: All builders are obligated to put maximum effort into things, and are encouraged to try the style of our founder, Ian MacDonald.
3a: Super ships and super weapons are NOT tolerated. Only Ian MacDonald can override this. Why? Long story.

4: Members who violate any these rules twice shall be removed.

5: Members who violate any of these rules again (if they come back) shall be banned.

6: More rules can be added if necessary.

7: These rules can be immediately revoked if Ian decides they should, or Gus and the mods can come to a unanimous decision.

... Rule 0 is the special rule, like 0 is a special number. It's very important.
