just thought I'd try and make a list of all futuristic weapons, to help
people who can't decide what weapon to stick on their COP creation.
let me know if I missed any:)

Try High School International Baccalaureate French. So many verbs, so many tests thereon. Doesn't help that our teacher is actually French from Montreal.

I take french. I am forced by law to learn french. I live in nb. It's a bilingual province.

Yup. We gotta learn a language too, though not necessarily French in High School. In 4-9 you have to take it, or 1-9 if you're in Academic Challenge (which I was, somehow)

Has anybody read the wiki about tesla guns? They're really powerful: [The nozzle would] send concentrated beams of particles through the free air, of such tremendous energy that they will bring down a fleet of 10,000 enemy airplanes at a distance of 200 miles from a defending nation's border and will cause armies to drop dead in their tracks.[85]

Presumably because they used to be made out of ground-up frenchmen.

'Couple things: one, if the Tesla Cannon was so almighty, someone would have made one by now. Two, 'autocannons' are the sort of thing second-line UNE troops use, more advanced units would presumably have automatic gauss weapons or pulse cannons or whatever the COP uses as heavy ground weapons.

Third, and this applies as much to the UNE as to you, we honestly need to rename the 'MAC gun' to something more interesting. It makes us looks like a crudely thought out ripoff of Halo.

Of course Halo didn't come up with the concept.
But they came up with the NAME.

And we are using THEIR name for the concept, which, technically speaking, is copyright infringement.

Therefore, from the perspective of any Halotard watching, we're a Halo ripoff. ODST, MAC guns, genocidal aliens vs earth (yes, yes, technically you're human too, but it doesn't look like that from the outside), massive ships, etc.

A couple points, COP doesn't have ODST. That's you guys. MAC guns will have to eventually be renamed when Sammy and I's plan reaches final stage (unlikely, but you never know), so leave that to us. Plus, COP is more Warhammer 40k than anything. And our ships are so much cooler.

As for lazors: No.

Any plasma not encased in a bullet or accelerated to relativistic speeds: No.

Chemically propelled weapons (guns, missiles, etc..): Yes.

Rail/Guass guns: Yes.

Nuclear (fision, fusion) weapons: Yes.

Biological weapons: Yes.

Chemical weapons: Yes.

Radiological weapons: Yes.

Melee weapons: Yes.

Particle beams: Yes, but only on the oldest and best of ships. COP lost a lot of technology a long time ago, and particle beams that don't require uber generators, and uber facilities are extremely rare, and their secrets are forgotten for reasons not yet published by me or approved by Gus and Ian.

Did I miss anything?

Do we have a half-track yet?
P.S. is our signature melee weapon a chainsword or a hammer?

Of course we have half-track. We have tank. We have car. We have plane. We have ship. Half-track is a lesser known member of the family.

And Hammers are symbolism, the chainsword is the more practical weapon.

A real MOC one though? WH40K?

No, ain't no half track in the COP yet. And what do you mean by WH40k? Chainswords are a concept borrowed from it, but hey, Metal Gear has those chainsaw guns, right?

At least I think it's Metal Gear...

Nicholas Tesla invented the Tesla Device so Areetsa was saying the cannon could be named after any of the Tesla children.

yeah, I know, but what's that got to do with Tesla guns not being used in the 23rd century?

Anyway, I'm pretty sure Tesla cannons don't, and never have, existed. If they did exist, someone would have used one in battle by now.

Actually, Tesla had built a series of towers on the coast and a plane that he claimed that he could power by beaming energy to instead of using fuel. He also found that he could up the charge and zap the plane out of the sky. This looked more or less like a big honkin' lightning bolt shot out of the tower and asploded the plane. The government took down the towers out of fear that someone might use them against us, and Tesla shipped his scientific records to various countries feeling that 'no one should have this much power' and the secret of Tesla coils has been lost to us ever since... yet the concept of a Tesla cannon, a miniaturized version of the aforementioned towers, still thrives in the minds of aspiring scifi fans and writers (me!) alike.

Voip.

'Viop'? Anyway, that's awesome!
