I salute you who died in fields of battle.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
— Lt.-Col. John McCrae (1872 - 1918)
Considering I've been working towards my Military History degree in WWI This is a day that is great. I have been on many excavations on Battle of fields on WWI.

The USA has been my home for sixteen years and you don't see me getting mad when it is mocked. And I'll tell you, we get a lot of flak for what the previous president has done, moreso than any of you. It's annoying to be thought of as an ignorant fool by the rest of the world, you know.
