What kind of weapon is it?
Plasma? Ballistic? Particle cannon?

How does it work?

Ballistic. It shoots a missile, then the missile breaks the enemy ships hull and sends waves of pulsed plasma
through the hull cracking and breaking it. DOES NOT DESTROY THE ENEMY SHIP! It makes the enemy ship weaker and more vulnerable. Once the pulsed plasma wave reach the shield generator,the energy deactivates the shields. Once the PPWs get to the bridge, it deactivetes all controls.
(Helm,Weapons etc...)

If it's the strongest weapon yet known to the C.O.P., chances are it would be very expensive or hard to produce? How does this one work?
