Depends where you are. In an empire so large, some places might only have goverment buildings in the grey Tarsis style that Ian does. Everything else can be anything from mud huts, to glass domes, to houses like we have on Earth.

Tarsis is one big, never ending city. Except it ends, at the shores of the continents. Big sea wall surrounding all the land, the oceans just sit there, kind of dirty. The walls need to be replaced a lot, water likes to erode things. It's the mostly-realistic city planet.

Have to re-do this... Ok, I am probably as obsessed with Killzone as you are with BSG. Anywho... I know that coalition cities are Roman government and structurs. I picture the 49th's Coalition city like so...- http://www.youtube.com/user/ISWalkthroughs#p/c/9F07F2C53C7B2A3D/27/2V252tzaTk0 With redish black skies and stuff falling from the air. It may be a mining sorta place for the Coalition, ya know?

No. Think more like... Town sized palace. Town as in, Manhattan sized palace and administration building.

@Finn: Reddish skies are cool, probably do to iron oxides in the air. But falling stuff? That's a bit dangerous.

I did. I thought you meant meteors and stuff. Small particles from strip mining and burning of the ecosystems, yes. That'd make sense. When it comes to environment, let's just say it's empire first. Unless any native people's have the power to have their rules made official.

For example: If the movie Avatar had the COP there for resources instead of Earth humans, the Na'vi would have been exterminated after a few months. Submit or die.

I loved thta movie. And if you play GOW then the cities in that are a good reference: http://unrealitymag.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/real_jacinto.jpg http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360/image/article/919/919698/gears-of-war-2-20081014111554270_640w.jpg

Indeed, those are almost exactly how I imagined it. Just add a little more of this in: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:AlexanderNevskiCathedral.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Znamenskaya_cerkov_Vilnius.JPG
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Reims_Kathedrale.jpg
And some of this, just replace Christ, Mary, religious figure, etc, with the Emperor: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:AachenerDomApsis.jpg
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sainte_chapelle_-_Upper_level.jpg

As you can see, I'm a major fan of Medieval Christian cathedrals, especially the Gothic and Byzantine styles. Stained glass history of the COP for the win.

@Dawn: Most interesting. Try a little less glass and a little more masonry for Tarsis though. Like the images I linked made into those towers you linked. At least for the wealthier parts. Poorer parts would look like Blade Runner combined with Industrial revolution Britain. And covering all the continetns to a degree. Around the Imperial Sanctum it's like Coruscant, but on the outer fringes, you might have things like abondeded lots. That's where you'll find teh p00rz.

But, on wealthier worlds that haven't been urbanized, like Vogelia and other mainly Tarsis-influenced (I'm guessing Vogelia is much more Tarsis influenced than not-Tarsis influenced), you'll have stuff like that tropical island picture. Except instead of that glass tower you'll have a Byzantine-style cathedral tower.

Ok, I could do that, (like Finn im also working on a comic) and I have to thank you for getting me hooked on BSG music, Im most likely going to include in the comic, which hit a major set back when my computer had crashed (lost all pictures)

The question is not 'are you starting a comic', the question is 'do you have the skill, inclination and willpower to finish it?'

You're missing time. Us makers of Precipice have everything but time to finish it. If only they had downloadable education... I could get everything I needed to know in like an 8 hour download. But then, they'd send you straigt off to work, so I guess you have more time this way.

Oysteria, my microcity, is a perfect example.

I'll be the judge of that, in Ian's long absences...

Edit: It is not a perfect example. 1: Too colorful. 2: Not enough tall buildings. 3: Nothing in the Tarsis archetectural design, goverment, military, or civilian. 4: Too spread out. 5: Lacking the Hammer and Wreath. 6: No goverment buildings.

I could go on, but I don't feel like it.
