So is the C.O.P. Dead Now?!
Join to comment
Lol. It was about a year ago when the U.N.E. was incredibly inactive. a C.O.P. member made a topic called 'The U.N.E. is Dead'. This was also a time when I'd decided I'd join the C.O.P., since my friend, Awesome, had joined and my other friend, Jaden, had left MOCpages. When I saw this topic, I was shocked. I felt I needed to join the U.N.E. and revive them. And so; John Moffatt, Finn, and I were active enough to revive it. ...That and I later became V.Pres. of the U.N.E.

I just find it funny that you guys are 'dead' now. I hope you become active again.

Yeah, that, ah, may not work out too well for you. You see, he's a part of a large country melding alliancy thing which basically means that the entirety of Russia is pledged to help him should someone attack him for no good reason. That is to say, three members all of whom have been sharing technology and building up their armies because that's what you do in a cold war.

Shoulda been active when you had the chance, China is now controlled by someone else. This leaves you Spain or Portugal in Europe (you don't want to join as one of the Balkan states, it'd be bad idea), or some small country in central Asia (joining in Southeast Asia would also be bad idea), or somewhere in Africa which no one cares about. Except all the good African countries are already taken over.

Or Atlantis. Nobody's got that.

Okay, done with this speaking and talking seriously:
I'm having problems with the turret's height, 'cuz I want the main guns (the twin railguns) to move up. To do this, I need some space up to do this trick, and the result is a very ugly turret, save for the bottom, wich I think that kicks a--. Anyway, because of this issue, it'll not be on MOCpages nor Flickr so soon.

Actually, if we are on 23rd century, we may have sufficient technology to have tiny heat sinks and put 'em in our tanks, so, they store the heat for radar-cloaking. Then when we are out of danger or the heat capacity/temperature is up, they turn off revealing the tank on the radar.

Yes, this is the Normandy's stealth system. [Mass Effect]

That would actually work on land vehicles. But not on ships in space. The space shuttle's ion thrusters can be seen from as far out as the asteroid belt with 20th-21st century tech. Now imagine a whole ship channeling all of it's heat out. It'd be spotted from across a solar system. And since space is big, channeling it in a narrow cone wouldn't work either, it'd still be picked up fast.

Here's how it works on the Normandy:
http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/SSV_Normandy#Technology

Mass Effect created, not me :|

I know how it works, Sammy and I have been over this before. But the point is, unless you can store heat for a long time without cooking your crew (life support, weapons, engines, lights, everything takes power, and power makes heat), stealth in space is impossible. There is no getting around it.

The only reason Warpships are "stealth" is because they're off in another dimension, waiting to strike, pretty much.

Thanks for reminding my about the contest. I'll get around to it tomorrow, I swear. But today I'm going to sleep early, because of the following reasons:

Just got home from a trip.
It's 95 degrees Fahrenheit here.
My allergy medicine decided to no longer be effective.
I hate vehicle rides lasting longer than 10 minutes for unknown reasons, they make me extremely uncomfortable for the rest of the day. I've been in a car for the past two hours (not as bad as the 12 hour drive though).
And, of course, I'm me. My body hates what can roughly be called a self-aware entity, so it does all kinds of things to make me miserable. I don't think it likes the sun, nor does it like concrete. That's why day time is no longer optimal awake-time.

But have no fear! Precipice 7 is here! Expect it before the day is out.

Hey, I don't like cars any more than my brother likes walking. That child cannot go more than 6 city blocks before crying about it. I however, am fully capable of traversing a mountain. I guess I trust my own two feet more than I trust those four wheeled death engines. Too fast for me.

How 'bout a six wheeled death engine?

I'd feel much safer in one of those. One reason I'm disinclined to driving is because all the other teens are too, and I don't trust them one bit. A six wheeled one likely is a lot tougher than those puny little cars everyone drives. I want something that can take a hit and keep going, not those plastic and aluminum toys.

Yeah, I know.

I'd like to buy a BDRM, myself. Shipping would be a pain, but I'd be able to drive around without worrying about some boy racer slamming me into an early grave. We get a lot of 'em in this country.

Drunks, too.

Now, I dunno about you, but I think I'd feel safe inside 7 tons of wheeled scout tank and bulletproof armour.

If my country let 16y.o. people drive, I'm sure I'll keep walking.
Besides, I completely agree with you. Even when I turn 18, I guess I'll prefer to just get my drive license and keep a distance off cars.
[but when I get my yellow '80 beetle, no one will stop me.]

If people would just stick to the left side of the road where they belonged, there wouldn't be nearly as many fatal crashes.

16 is when you can get a license, you can get a permit at 15. I myself am nearing 17, but I really could care less for cars. Engines of death, I tell you, especially in the hands of teens. They think they're invincible! Crossing through moving traffic, expecting everyone to stop for them when they have a green light... It's madness. I'm surprised more people aren't dead yet.

I'd like nothing more than to see an army of Bring Me The Horizon fans to break into the show, blast out their amazingly heavy deathcore music and watch the glee cast's ears explode. I would actually watch that. Or watch people throw grenades at Justin Bieber all day long. That would be classic.

I don't like the music. Deathcore? Seriously? Go Gorillaz style.
