Of course. Anyone who does not check in during the sign-in is viable, unless they inform us before hand that they will be away. Which shouldn't be a problem anyway, because I allow plenty of time to sign in. Of course, we admins need to agree on a time to purge this group of the useless members. We have a ton of people who joined and don't do anything, I'd like to get rid of them.

You believe what the Mayns said? So do I some-what. I think it just might be when the however many long day Mayan calander is reset. And something else that is wierd. Yesterday my little brother was Googling when the next lunar ecplice was; the next lunar ecplice is on December 21, 2010. Exactly two years till the Mayans said the world would end. Kind of weird huh?

IIRC, That's just when that cycle of their calendar ends. Granted, they have been able to predict a ton of stuff (like, the day the Spanish arrive on their shores), but it doesn't explicitly say (to my best knowledge) that the world will end, the Calendar just ends it's cycle.

No. Some people thousands of years ago had a really good and accurate calendar, so? The Romans built cathedrals in 6 years, it'd take everyone else centuries for projects of equal scale. The Arabs were off doing algebra while Europe went around counting on their fingers.

There's always cultures that are advanced in some ways, Mayans were good at calender. Just because it stops on a certain day doesn't mean it will.

Are you old enough to remember Y2K, perchance? I remember a big scare over it, and it never happened. Lot's of people have prophesied the end of the world- it hasn't happened yet.

I'm with you.

About the calendar ending on 2012, I have a simple explanation:
The calendar-maker got bored and stopped to make calendars. "When 2012 arrives, I'll continue", said him.

They probably didn't know that they wouldn't live to see 2012 ya know? But they were good predicters. They even predicted there own downfall. A Mayan priest once said to the Mayan ruler, "Invaders will come once and the Maya will succede. The invaders will come twice and the Maya will succede. The invaders will come once again, but the Maya will fall." The ruler had the priest's head cut off for saying that the Maya would fall. But the priest was right. The Spanish attack them tree times; they failed the first two times. Succeded the third.

Actually, somethink that really, the ending of 2012 on the calender might just them ending a season, like we might end a calender on 2020 or some other seeming fitting date.

With basic knowledge of the person, and depending on the coherence (or rather lack of) of their claims, most people can. It's mostly analyzing claim and fact.

People look to the left when they are imagining something and to the right when remembering something. The first coincides with lying since they are imagining what they just said, though this might be avoided planning your lies out. Eye movement could be of use to expose a liar, though it's a vague shot since the eye movements are rather ambiguious to the true intentions.

Eye movement to determine the context of an action is rather simplistic,(mantaining the right: memory left: imagining basis) looking up is usually to remember/imagine an event, object person etc., mantaining the eyes at a normal altitude is to remember/imagine a sound (I have noticed when humming songs I tend to look to the right), and looking down however differs slightly as looking to the lower left is to remember a feeling, while looking to the lower right is when you mentally talk to yourself.

Reading these last few comments, I'm a lil bit confused on whose right it is. People look to THEIR right to lie, but OUR right to remember. Of course, the person I heard this from could just be mistaken, and I could just be tired. Or maybe I'm just full of it. I think any of those three are legitimate answers.

FACT: People generally look to the left when they are lying. I noticed even I do it.

FACT: People generally avoid eye contact when lying. I wouldn't know, because I try to avoid lying.

Except during diplomatic thingies. It's a long established fact that nobody tells the truth at the negotiating table.

We Americans aren't either. It's the fat, generalizing fools that make us look bad, isn't it?

That, and the constant supply of MP censored word.

Blame the already-fool people. No one wants to pay more taxes for public education, thus why districts like mine are sacking half a dozen or more teachers from every school and closing down each one they can. I have 40+ kids in almost all of my classes, not a good learning environment.

That, and some Americans are just too wrapped up in themselves to care about learning. Can you believe some people don't think it's worth learning history to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past? If we forget Hitler, that may very well happen again. So many people just don't get this.

Well, given the hair trigger fuse and primary school grade debating skills of quite a few Amerikanskis on the internet, all they're good for is arguing with.

I mean, honestly, how many arguments have you seen that can be summed up as "AMERICA IS AWSUM" VS "NO IT SUX"?

It's like those arguments small children have;
"No, my daddy's better!" "no, mine!"
except with 'country' instead of 'daddy'.

I'd go look for examples in forums but I suspect it'd irritate me and make me want to start posting youtube videos of "God Save The Queen".

America was awesome. Now it "sux." We used to go around doing our own work, now because of the strange sense of entitlement most Americans have, companies had to outsource because labor here was too expensive. Look at us now- political correctness abounds, petty party divisions, very little home industry, tanking economy, all in the last few decades.

It's a bad story, bro. We gotta get the spirit of honest work and concept of union back.

I'm pretty sure nearly all western countries need that now, we are suprised when we decide when we go into recession when people are blatantly ready to spend money they don't have and not try to work to pay it off

But I have to agree with areetsa I've entered and observed many online debates and american patriotism and religeon tend to be the one with least amount of viable responses but it is not select to america, I have seen fools from every country fighting their own side.

Correction: You guys are not "Americans". You are "United-stadians" (poorly translanted from portuguese/spanish "Estadunidenses"), because "America" is the continent, not the United States country.

And if we are discussing countries here, I just say 4 words.

Brasil For The Win.

No, we're Americans. Canadians are North American, we're North American, you're South American, but the USA is American. It's in our name, we can use it.

Black metal. For. The. Win. Maybe not so much the others. Oh, and Linkin Park have now officially failed. New album is a massive fail.

I'm pretty sure Linkin' Park was a massive fail to begin with. Much the same for 'metal', either Black or otherwise.

People these days have no taste. The fact that they seem to think it's possible for a whatever-that-horrible-noise-is band to be good is proof.
