Success is ours! After a few weeks of off-and-on work and discussion, Ian and I, AOS, have churned out the first episode. Kind of. It's only two pages, but it's a good start, if I say so. You ever tried to make a paint comic?

So, enjoy. Sammy Harris, one of our own moderators, is also on the team, but because of time restrictions out of his control, he is unable to make as regular a contribution as we can. But he will make them nonetheless.

And to make it clear:
This takes place at the very start of the COP, not in the Earth War. Mammoth and Saber-tooth Tiger walked the Earth while these stories happen, at least for the majority of them. So Earth, for all it's supposed importance, is a very small and recent development.

Many, many hours.

Since I'm new to this can you maybe explain the concept of the 23 century to me? Also, if a group wanted to perhaps ally with C.O.P. and the alliance was made, would that other group then be apart of the 23 century? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just really curious.

The 23rd century takes place, currently, in the 2200s. From what I've gathered and established,
we're currently somewhere between 2250 and 2280. Personally, I think we're in the 2270s, but that's me.

If a group wants to ally with us, there's a problem. There was once a split-off, the EOS. We don't talk about them much. But, they messed things up pretty bad as a whole "3rd faction." Other people wanted to take the spot as "3rd faction," but we ignore them. Factions wishing to join either side of our conflict (UNE or COP), can either be a UNE sub-faction, or completely submitted to the COP. We allow some independence to our territories, but in the end, all must answer to the Emperor and his appointed officials.

Okay, so basically what you are saying is there can't be UNE, COP, and "other group", is that correct? Well, what do you think would happen if an small empire wanted to join COP and answer to the COP emperor, would the small empire become an extension of COP, but still retain it's culture and what-not?

There can be UNE and COP obviously, but no more big factions beyond that. If a smaller empire or nation wished to join the COP and swear allegiance, that's completely fine. They just need to be prepared to answer to Tarsis and do their part if ever the time comes. The COP, though the official language is a simple form of Tarsin, does little in the way of forcing member worlds to assimilate. It's a very multi-cultural place, and thus an empire in the style of those of antiquity here on Earth, rather than a nation. There are really only three things that keep the COP together: The Emperor, a language they all have to learn, and a history of fighting together.

Thus, smaller cultures need not fear assimilation by bigger ones. We don't roll that way.

Finally! This is the start of the C.O.P. becoming famous! Books, a movie, video games, maybe even a TV series!

You've got some grammar errors. Also I'm not sure the people who drew the things you 'borrowed' would be too pleased.

If you ask me, it's better to have a couple of people doing all the drawing, otherwise you'll get style mismatches. A bit of blur on the drawn bits would be an idea, too; smoothing out the edges.

As far as I can tell, we borrowed a grand total of three images: A sunset, Earth from BSG (reversed), and the planets getting hit.

Everything else is original. And as for grammar, this was finished at about 1 AM, so there are some errors. .

Are they now? I'm not familiar with his non-Lego art, so there's no way I could have copied it. I don't speak for Ian, but Ian's had a lot more practice at this business than me.
